Our experience was amazing! Loi our guide made the whole 10 day adventure fun informative and inspiring. Our driver Long made the long trips by bus seem short and helped us feel safe on the very crazy roads.
Loi brought us to many places we never could have gone on our own and showed us many amazing out of the way places and people.
As a professional guide myself back home I really appreciated the level of care and true love Loi displays for both showing this amazing place to his guests but also his genuine love for these place and people himself.
The food on the trip was amazing we both gained a few pounds as we couldn’t stop eating all the great things Loi and long turned us on to. And when we didn’t like something he was quick to bring something we did love. The homestays and hotels where all very clean and comfortable.
All in all an incredible trip. Thanks to Loi Long and Hellen back at the office. You guys are truly great at what you do.

Hi Brian,

Thank you so much for this great review! We appreciate your support very much and are so glad you enjoyed every bit of the trip. Loi is indeed very passionate, it is always a pleasure to work with him. As for Long, the roads definitely have no secrets for him now. Helen enjoyed working on your tour, she will be delighted to hear the good news.

Hope the few pounds gained were worth it!

Linh

We contacted Mr. Linh's adventures after finding the recommendation in our guide book. It was the best decision we could have made for our vacation. In fact, when our tour was almost ending, we booked another tour with Mr. Linh's adventures till the end our trip.
This was our first holiday outside of Europe and it ended up being a holiday we will always remember. I do believe that to be thanks to our amazing guide, Mr. Long, and skilled driver, Mr. Thanh.
Every step of the itinerary was well thought and nothing was left to chance. Over the course of our trip, Mr. Long adapted the itinerary as he got to know our preferences. We ended up hiking in remote villages, biking through the jungle and exploring nature with no tourist in sight. Our wonderful driver kept us safe as we drove both on narrow roads through remote mountains and crowded city streets as well. We felt immersed in the local culture thanks to Mr. Long who always took the time to explain and show us the villagers's way of life.
One special request that our group had was vegetarian food. We were a bit concerned about how that might turn out, but it was absolutely no issue for Mr. Long, who always made sure our food was adapted but still close to the local traditions. The food that we had on our tour was the best one we tried in Vietnam. We had sampled several restaurants in Hanoi, but none came close to the local food in the mountains.
As far as the accomodation is concerned, we stayed at both remote homestays but also fancier hotels. I loved the choice of the homestays and the fact that we had to go trekking between rice paddies and small villages in order to reach them.
5 stars is not enough to express how satisfied we are with our choice of contacting Mr Linh's adventures. At the end of our second trip it felt like we were leaving behind family.

Our 8 days off beat trekking from village of valleys and mountains is truly fascinating and accompanied by Loi, the humorous, caring and attentive guide accompanied by safe driving driver Swee. .they have such patience too
Our trek and homestays are basis but very comfortable and always well fed with good meals especially efforts for the deliciously hotpot dinner and birthday treat celebration by entertainer Loi

Hi Venture152719. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It is a pleasure to hear that your experience in Northern Vietnam and Mr Linh’s Adventures was a success. Loi is indeed a great cook! It is very important to us that the local communities in this remote area are being known as well, and share the benefits of sharing time and knowledge with passing travellers.

We look forward to seeing you again soon then!

Sincere regards,
Linh.

We chose Mr Linh's Adventures because we wanted to really get to know Vietnam, to meet its people, to see its natural beauty and we could not have made any better decision.
Long (our tour guide) and Mr Thanh (our driver) are such a great team and took care of us like we could have never imagined. Together, we went on our great adventure in Northern Vietnam, where we got to do hiking, to swim in Ba Be Lake, to meet local people and experience the authentic life of the Red Dao people, Tai people, Hmong and Thai people.
Long always kept our interest active and explained us everything about customs, food, culture and agriculture, local legends and even Vietnamese words. He taught us how to behave in order not to offense the people and to show them respect, he went with us on hiking tours and even carried our sticky rice for our picnic.
He was particularly attentive to our wishes and kept us off the crowded paths so we got the chance to discover Vietnam without the hassle of hundreds of tourists.
We are also very thankful for the custom tour Mr Linh's provided for us, tailored for our preferences.
We heartily recommend Mr Linh's Adventures, professional tour guide (we would do our next trips with them as well)

We booked a private tour with Mr Linh's following recommendations from previous visitors (who went trekking in Ba Be National Park). This did not disappoint.
Our guide, Loi, was really friendly, adventurous and kept us entertained and enthused on our treks and time on the boat.
We started with a drive from Hanoi, and then onto the afternoons 8km trek across the national park to Viet Hai village - a hard but rewarding trek, with good walking shoes and a daypack essential! Our guide helped us to understand the local wildlife. We stayed overnight in Viet Hai Village bungalows (reviewed separately) which offered a basic but comfortable accommodation and a nice dinner (our luggage arrived by boat later in the afternoon). Day 2 was a shorter trek up to view the bays, enjoyable despite the difficult terrain and misty weather, we cycles too the harbour to meet the wooden junk boat. The junk was clean and comfortable with a small cabin and basic bathroom. We had a wonderful lunch followed by a busy afternoon of kayaking and swimming in the bay. Another fantastic seafood dinner followed, and we slept comfortably. Day 3 included a visit to a local floating village fish farm, a trek on monkey island (beware hungry monkeys on arrival), and another lovely lunch before driving back to Hanoi.
We had a brilliant time with lots of unforgettable experiences, our guide Loi really helped us to understands and enjoy North Vietnam!
