This was our first stop in Vietnam and we really liked it. It is nothing fancy, so don't expect 5* luxury. If you want a charming atmosphere with wonderful personal service, this is the place.
When asking them whether we could leave our bags there passing through Hanoi a few days later, they even offered us to use their private shower.
We stayed in a de luxe room on the top floor. No lift as has been pointed out, and by the time you got to the top it was a relief to get that air con running! The bed was big and super comfy. The room was nicely decorated.
We did not use the onsite travel services, though did not at all find them pushy, as some have suggested here. The breakfast was basic, but still very nice.
If you arrange for them to collect you at the airport, you should confirm shortly before. We didn't, and due to a misunderstanding they didn't turn up. But they seemed truly sorry and offered to pay for our cab instead.
Travellers who are sensitive to noise should be warned that the hotel is on a busy market street. So be prepared to wake up to endless honking and long trading regulations being read out through loud speakers. We, however, found this to be a charming part of our amazing Vietnam adventure!More
