I booked there because of its great location and while staying there everything was allright. I liked the owner, Mr. Cuong, who was always friendly and we had some nice conversations. Rooms were clean and tied up. I recommend it to every Hanoi tourist, it's a very nice place to stay at.

We want to recommend a great place to visit.
When we spent 10 days in Vietnam, we stayed about 5 days only in the capital Hanoi. There we discovered a small hotel called TinTin-Hotel. It is located in the centre of Hanoi, so it was our first choice. This hotel is also perfect for shopping in the old town and it is near most of the important temples. We were surpirsed in there, because it was very clean and everybody was friendly. So hey, it was a good choice. They offer train and bus tickets for travelling through the whole the country. This hotel is very recommendable, because we had some good time there and not a single problem. And we also want to thank the crew from the TinTin because they made our holidays easy. Next time we’re in this region we definitely book again there. We wish every tourist in Vietnam a great holiday.

We booked this hotel through a hostel website after reading good reviews. It was a very big disappointment. We only stayed one night and moved to a much nicer place, but it did cost alot more. We were in room 102, $16US which is straight up the first stairwell in the middle of the hotel. The noise from downstairs carried straight up and into the room, it seemed from every direction. The window opened internally into the hotel and there was no natural light. The room consisted of a double bed with extra high pillows. The whole room had a dampness about it and was very musty. It was clean, but the smell and dampness were unbearable. The aircon didn't seem to work, and some pipe in the bathroom permanantly leaked - consistantly leaving water all over the bathroom floor and leaking out to the hall. The bath was just free standing in its corner, so water would spill out everywhere. Subsequently we moved just around the corner to a great hotel called Lucky Star Hotel 18 Hang Hom, not the one that is in all the reviews. Another - much better one. Anyway I can't recommend Lucky Star from our experience, but I did met some other great travellers there who were very helpful.

I have just stayed at the Tin Tin Hotel for the past week and wanted to give a most enthusiastic and positive recommendation. Mr Cuong, the proprietor of this incredibly conveniently located hotel is the first of many remarkable aspects of this place. We spent many hours of conversation as he freely shared his insights, opinions, recommendations for visits, helped us with sight-seeing, etc., etc. His input and friendlyness alone made staying here worthwhile. The hotel itself was excellent, with clean, well-lit rooms, and complementary continental breakfast included. The location at the edge of the Old City is perfect for visiting the various museums and also for shopping, etc. In all, staying here made a significant contribution to our extremely positive view of this remarkable city and its people. I give it my highest recommendation. I hope I will have the pleasure of returning to Hanoi at some point in the future, and when I do, I hope very much to be able to stay here again.

When we( 4 Persons ) visited Hanoi in August 2006, we found a beautyful and clean Hotel. It's name was TinTinHotel. The hotel had 15 rooms with prices from 12-18$, so very cheap for us. As we saw our room we were so glad that it's been cool in there, because of the clima-conditioner. Next we noticed the TV and my little son just started to watch comics. We were surprised of the program: so many channels! After that the man from the reception showed us the bathroom. It was very clean. The young man mentioned that we can book tours here, what was very easy for us, because we thought we'd have to look for a booking center. We also noticed that the receptionist spook very good english. In our room prices were breakfest included so next morning we went hungry to the tables to eat. After we ordered a meal we sat first time next to the streets and we wondered about the many people. 5 Minutes later we got it and then we booked a trip to Halong Bay. The man helped us with finding the Hoan Kiem Lake and we spent a good time for the next days.Unfortunately the time was so short and of course we retourned to Germany after 4 Days. We wanted to write a review for this hotel, because it helped us so much and fulfilled our expectations. So to every ,,HanoiTraveller'' : Check in, in the TinTinHotel!
