Spent three nights at the Classic Street Hotel in Hanoi. An excellent location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, the rooms were very clean and comfortable! The staff was terrific and very accommodating. Breakfast was included and offered a choice of traditional Vietnamese or Western ( bacon and eggs ) selections! I would definitely stay here again !! Thanks to the staff !!

My husband and I have recently returned from our holiday to Vietnam, first stop Hanoi. We were greeted at the airport and transferred to the Classic Street Hotel. We were met by a very friendly Mr Van Phuc, who sat us down and offered us tea, coffee and fruit upon arrival. The hotel restaurant and decor was very charming and in traditional Vietnamese style.

Our room was ready for us and we were assisted in the lift with our luggage. We booked a luxury room on the 6th floor which was so clean, light and quiet. The ensuite was a good size and very clean too. The old quarter is so much fun to stay in, outside its shops, scooters, cafe and restaurants right at your fingertips.

Mr Cat was very helpful as a local travel agent. We planned a trip to Sapa by overnight train and Ms Lan assisted us also with all our transfers. We arrived back to Hanoi by overnight train again and to my surprise was met at the station by Mr Cat at 6.30am !!!!! The staff go above and beyond to help.

The food at the hotel is fantastic. We booked our accommodation with breakfast included and we thoroughly enjoyed it every day. I especially loved the 'rice pancake' or Banh cuon - try it, its delicious. My husband loved the fresh home made pasteries, bagettes and Pho. The staff were always smiling, friendly and happy to serve you.

I'd recommend staying at The Classic Street Hotel, very comfortable, clean accommodation and very friendly, helpful staff. We are planning to return to Vietnam again next year with our children and will book this hotel again.

I wish I could take credit for discovering this little gem but the reality is our original choice had double booked us and to give credit where credits due they did rebook us at the Classic St Hotel and paid for the cab to get us there.
As a result we couldn't be happier, located behind the Puppet Theatre this hotel is located right in the middle of the action and has several lovely little bars and eateries on its street. But back to the hotel itself, OK it's not a modern hotel but you just wont need anything more than this hotel delivers, helpful friendly staff, lovely clean rooms with air con/ TV/ free wireless/ bathroom, breakfast included (beg steal or borrow a baguette from here you won't find better) and at a price that will let you stay for twice as long.
We are still pinching ourselves at our good fortune and will definitely stay here when we return to Hanoi.

From the outside the hotel does not look like much but inside it is deceptivelly large. It is clean and well decorated thorughout. We stayed in a luxury room which was very comfortable although not a large room it was in no way cramped. The hotel is in the heart of the old quarter with plenty of bars and restaurants within a few seconds walk. For the price we paid (£100 for 5 nights) this was an amazing bargain. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. My only complaint would be the choice for breakfast was a little limited but thats not uncommon for smaller hotels.

Room Tip: Traffic is very heavy and the use of a horn seems compulsory - we had a room at the rear of the hote...

The hotel itself is nice. clean rooms and a good size. we stayed 2 nights in 2 separate rooms.

the staff service was a little average however. i emailed the hotel over a week before we arrived to organise a Halong Bay Junk for the morning after we arrived. with email confirmation that it was booked by the tourism staff. once arriving, the man at the front reception had no idea what i was talking about. he said no the tour wasnt booked. when i told him i confirmed through email, he looked at the same piece of paper and told me it was booked. getting up early in the morning to confirm with the tourism staff, he told me it was booked for the wrong day, and the cruise we were meant to go on was fully booked. we then had to rebook a new tour, and wait over an hour for the bus to collect us.
after the cruise, we had a flight booked for the morning after. the receptionist asked us if we wanted a 4:30am wake up call for a 5am taxi which we said yes and paid for. luckily we set our own alarms. no wake up call, and when we went downstairs the receptionist was asleep, and had organised a taxi for 6am. in the end we had to go outside and get our own taxi.

Room Tip: rooms past the restaurant area are very short. if you are a tall person i recommend not staying in t...
