You can rarely hear sound of car honk in your room. Honk is heavily abuse in the city. So this us a good thing. If you manage to get a room that faces the lake, thats another plus point for serenity.

The buffet range is a little limited, but still not that bad. The food is skewed towards singaporean style because the manager is from singapore.

The room is very decent. Thumbs up.

Very good rooms. Stayed in the Signature room, with rain shower and bath in room. The best point is the reception staff...they made our holiday excellent NY recommending restaurants and sorting taxis. Very helpful and courteous. Only negative is the relatively low breakfast choice, but isn't a problem when food is everywhere in the city. Was the best choice for our honeymoon.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of my trip to Vietnam and really enjoyed the hotel. The check in was very fast after a long flight and my room was great - I think they call it a signature room? - on a high floor, with a huge bed and living space and a big bathroom! The bath, shower and sink only has a curtain to separate it from the bedroom but this wasn't a problem at all. Breakfast was good - all the things you could want plus Vietnamese choices and there was lots left even towards the end. The food in the restaurant in the evenings was also nice, but quite expensive compared to the street food, but it is a hotel so can't complain! Staff were lovely and all in all, I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay if you want a bit of peace and quiet and time to relax away from the centre of town.

Far enough out of the centre of Hanoi but close enough to still experience it. Only a few dollars in a cab (approx $10) into the centre this hotel is an experience to be enjoyed. The golf, gym and pool are grea,t the food (while a little more expensive than elsewhere) was of a very high standard. The staff cannot do enough for you and the spa and beauty salon are wonderful addition. Nearby cafes if you want to experience local food and drink prices. The only downfall would be that it is in the business district and therefore lots of ex-pats and you miss a little bit of the true Hanoi. We stayed here on our last 2 nights after being in the countryside and the centre of Hanoi so it was a wonderful end to the holiday!

Room Tip: We had a studio room with a full kitchen and fridge, rooms at the back of the hotel are a little noi...

The Hanoi Club is a time share opportunity in Hanoi. It is on the bay and there is a driving range on the deck into the bay. Restaurant is very nice and cocktail lounge has a pretty view of the city and the bay. Not a great walking neighborhood and far from City Center.

Late September is a good time to be in Hanoi, my stay this year 2013 was made even better than normal since I stayed at the Hanoi Club Hotel on the shores of West Lake. From the minute I walked through the door I was made to feel welcome by Richard Huy. I found all the staff friendly and extremely helpful. There was an excellent complimentary breakfast including English, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine and it was help yourself to as much or as little as you required. The location is probably the best in Hanoi and a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter and Downtown.

Room Tip: Try for a lake view
