Amazing few days. Very professional operation. Food, service and staff all fantastic. Fun had kayaking, visiting fishing village and soccer on the beach with staff. Highlight dinner in a magnificent cave on final night. Truly an unforgettable experience, highly recommend.

Have been several time to halong bay for day trip. This was my first time to spend one night on the boat. This was a standard boat, rooms were clean and decent, the food was alright, exept for b´fast toast were more than crunchy but food in general good. Wasn't a big deal concidering this was a good value for money trip. I personaly think it´s better to stay one night, it´s an experience on it´s self to stay on the boat, not to mention visiting the caves and kayaking which is fun, easy and accessible to most. Best time to visit is during summer months july until november, at least you get to swim. At the end if you don't want to spend more than 120$ on a one night trip I would go for this, i think prices from travel agent to another are pretty much all the same too.

Our travel agent booked this trip so we didn't do much research on it. We enjoyed the ship, the cook was pulling out all the stops. We kayaked around. It was all well organised and the cabins were well designed. The ship may actually look a bit less than the actual experience, we enjoyed it.

We did the 3 day trip this time as last time we did the 2 day, was not much different other than the meal in the cave but that was certainly the high light, these guys know how to indulge you and all meals are first class, you do the same things as on the 2 day tour but at a slower pace, only gripe, and this is probaly not so much at Dragon Pearl but not to sure why people still think it is OK to just light up a cigerette at meal time when you are on shared tables, we only had one group of 4 out of 16 that did this but guess things are different in Spain, the girls picked up that it was not the right thing, the boys were just to stupid, and throwing their butts overboard was another thing that didn't seem to bother them either, I've never smoked so guess it just pissed me off, if you were tossing up between 2 day cruise and 3 day then you do pretty much see the same thing on the 2day, rooms are fantastic and all the crew more than helpfull, just remember that the main guide does not work as part of the ships crew and in saying that does not get any of the tip , we gave him a seperate tip as he was fantastic and very helpfull whenever we needed something or did not understand what was being said.
