We dined in some restaurants during short trip in Hanoi and Purple cherry resto was one of the best there

The food and wine are good selection and I found them to be the best in terms of value for money. The service is good and the restaurant has a nice ambiance and relaxed setting

My husband liked it so much that he wanted to go back again the next time. Highly recommended

Although unable to use rooftop restaurant due to weather this did not spoil the fantastic food served to us by enthusiastic, friendly staff.
The experience was so good that we had to visit again whilst in Hanoi and it was as good a second time. So if you are in Hanoi make sure you visit this restaurant you won't be disappointed.

Like other disappointed reviewers we visited the Purple Cherry when it was raining and the restaurant decamps to the basement breakfast area of the hotel that hosts it. Ambience of this room = Zero. Food was OK but really not memorable and the bill was a bit proud of where it should have been for the mediocre meal we enjoyed. Evidently the 8th floor view/ambience is a must to enjoy this place at its best- avoid on rainy days.

We came here for dinner when it was a bit drizzly. The rooftop was closed so we ate in the hotel dining room. The menus are the same and say purple cherry. The Vietnamese food however is average and quite highly priced compared to other restaurants in the surrounding area. I'd come back again to try the western food, but only when the weather is good.

We are so lucky to have dinner on a rooftop when a nice weather btw rainny day. The view was wonderful and the food excellent. We had Vietnamese fare and wine--all fairly priced. Service was excellent. We'd go back again! Their roll-your-own rice paper main dish was the hit of the night.
