“So much to see”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Apart from the lake itself, where you can find a lot of beautiful oriental structures, the surrounding areas are the perfect place to walk and shop. You can find all sorts of coffee shops, restaurants, street food, theaters, statues, historical places, etc. around the area. Shopping for silk, paintings, souvenirs, bags, clothes and all sorts of stuff are just around the area. Mind you, it is quite a big place to explore, so it is best to carry a good bag for your purchases and plenty of water. Always haggle before you pay, and do not give in to the temptation of buying something you like without first looking around for the similar item. The old quarters is also in this district, so be ready for quite a stroll.

“West Lake Stroll”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

This was a nice area to get out and walk. Plenty of spots for lunch or snacks. Presents another dimension from the traffic-clogged bustle of the old town.

“Must See”

It's a nice traquil spot in a bustling city. A charming lake to reflect after a nice day exploring the city it's self. It is a central location with cafes' and shops around it

“Beautiful view”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Our hotel looked out over west lake and it was quite beautiful in the morning. There is a lot of building nearby so walking isn't easy.
