Owner description: This repository of Vietnam's military history includes rooms full of war propganda, photographs and documents from wars against China, France, and the United States. The grounds feature several captured aircraft as well as a central structure build from the wreckage of French and American planes. Visitors may climb the flag tower, with great views from the top.

My husband was very interested to go here and although I could have given it a miss, it provably does allow you to get closer to the planes and other war machines than you would ordinarily get. My husband really enjoyed the visit and I'm sure if you are into this type of thing it must be one of the best places to visit. Very cheap and good value for money.

The site of the museum is hard to miss with the tower of the Citadel rising over it. The old citaddel structure is the most outstanding item you see first - just around the corner from the old Mig on a stand. Scattered through the section adjacent to the Citadel are examples of flying machines from the Americam war. The tower of shot down aircraft is particularly impressive. Inside the buildings are other artifacts and photos that will take hours of your time as you wander around the exhibits. another great museum.

it's full of interesting exhibits and gives you a good understanding of their military history. it's obviously biased against the United States but otherwise I found it worth the visit

Don't be alarmed when you go in and see the U.S. bashing that goes on, remember the museum was organized right after the war and they have good reason to be angry. And they won the war.
