Nice easy walk from our hotel. Lovely restaurant. Looked at all the history going back hundreds and hundreds of years.

There were some interesting military vehicles on display, mainly American plans and trucks which had be shot down or acquired in battle. These are at the back, behind the main building.

Some interesting pieces within the museum itself.

Climb up the steps to see into cockpits of various captured US aircraft and victorious North Vietnamese MIGs. Sit in the cockpit of captured US Chinook. Feel the engine-blades of downed US B52.
Internal displays mostly translated into English.
Not quite as good as HoChiMinh museum but worth a visit anyway.

As a US citizen this is a must see. Gives a nice perspective without being anti US. Factual presentations on VN military history. One word of caution. Arrange transportation back to you lodging ahead of time. A taxi tried to charge me 75 US for a trip that was about $6 going. Always use the hotel or restaruant called Taxis. Well worth the visit.

It is an interesting museum with lots of information about the French invasion and, as you would expect, the American one. It is well laid out and quite a lot of information. The best bit is there are lots of tanks, bombs, airplanes, helicopters etc that you can get close to and inside on some. There is also the wreckage of a plane. My son loved it and we found it interesting. Good for some history - and big boys toys!
