“Tourist friendly, well thought out museum”

I was surprised at how professional and well considered this museum was. A great place to stop by and doesn't kill you with too much detail or content either like some of the museums do.

“Surprisingly brilliant museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

The concept of the museum didn't sound particularly interesting but we were pleasantly surprised. Exhibits had plenty of English explanations (unlike some other museums in the area) and displays were fascinating. We spent about 1.5 hours here and rushed some parts. This museum gives you a real appreciation for the history and culture of Vietnamese women.

“Beautiful museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

The Women's Museum in Hanoi is a must-go place as it fantastically illustrates the pivotal role that women play in any society and the toll women (and their children) pay as a result of wars and harsh economic conditions.

The visit to the museum has certainly been one of the highlights of our visit to Hanoi.

“Interesting”

It was an interesting and well displayed exhibit. I was surprised as I had no knowledge of the role that women played in Vietnamese history yet came away knowing more. I enjoyed this more than the Prison Museum

“Very informative”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

I actually was a little sceptical I have to say about this but once in there I was both intrigued and enthralled. The museum details the history of women in the struggle of Vietnam for independence but also goes into detail about the many different ethnic customs and traditions of the various different ethnic groups in Vietnam. It was both fascinating and interesting. I spent well ver two hours there and enjoyed the visit immensely. I highly recommend it!
