“Great way to spend a rainy and/or hot day”

Another one of Ha Noi's really nice museums, with a variety of displays, some interactive. They have many nice items on display, including traditional clothing of different ethnic groups. Overall, this is a nice and modern museum in a very convenient location. The price can't be beat (about $1 USD).

“An excellent museum worth a visit”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

We enjoyed our visit to this museum as it was well presented with captions in English, French and Vietnamese, so easy to understand. It certainly was informative, and showed the extreme bravery of so many Vietnamese women, young and old, who had helped, fought, shielded and protected throughout the struggles and wars that had Vietnam had endured. It was fascinating to see it all, and learn about something that we had so little knowledge of.

“Favorite museum in Hanoi”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

What a unique and informative museum experience! From weddings, motherhood, jobs, and role in the military, this museum gave me an appreciation for the history, struggles and strength of Vietnamese women. It offered a refreshing, new perspective and was one of our favorite stops in Hanoi.

Well worth a visit if you've got the time and you've got the interest. Otherwise there are more exciting places to visit.

This is an interesting museum with lots of explanations (in English and French) about the roles of women in Vietnamese society. Well worth a look if you have time.
