“Great slice of history.”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Excellent museum that offers up a well-organized walk through the history of Vietnamese women. Has three floors with different themes. Each floor is packed full of photographs, artifacts, videos and descriptions. Well worth the visit. In fact if there was one museum to visit in Hanoi, I would suggest this one!

“Everything is better with Hanoi Kids”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

I spent several hours with a English-speaking University student who volunteered time to make a visitor welcome. The "Hanoikid" was very admirable and helped me find a camera I lost in downtown Hanoi, with no name or address on it! Go to Hanoikids.com to request a volunteer to show you their city!

“Don't miss this!!”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

This is a fascinating museum, done to the very best Western museum standards. Beautifully presented, with ALL captions in Vietnamese, English and French. You will get an excellent appreciation of Vietnamese cultures, from birth through weddings, and spiritual beliefs. All the various national cultures are represented, and they are quite varied. It was really fascinating, and so well presented, including excellent videos. The top floor is devoted to female heroes of the French and American wars, and was less accessible to,Westerners, and overtly propagandistic, a feeling totally missing in the rest of the museum.
