“Nice if you have an couple of hours to kill”

You can get here from the Old Quarter by the number 14 bus (5000 Dong)

Interesting place with good displays of clothing and buildings outside from the minorities. Slightly over-rated and not a must see museum.

“Interesting exhibit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2013

What I found to be the most interesting were the various replicas of indigenous people's homes outside of the main building. It is worth a walk through to observe. The inside exhibits were fairly predictable. Worthwhile if you have an interest in the many indigenous groups of Vietnam .

“Never new there were so many different cultures in Vietnam”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

Very nice museum and worth a visit (along with the Mausoleum and Prison). The information and exhibits were well laid out - good summary in English too.

Most of the exhibits are visual in nature, so it is not like you are going through the museum and feel like you are reading a book.

Some reviewers commented on the kids groups that go through, and yes, there are a ton of kids, but how often do you get to see Vietnamese school children on field trips - enjoy it. They go by real quick and then they are gone!

“Interesting but I can read about the history.prefer to see other things”

Too much time given over to this place.
I can read history etc on line and sometimes when you are travelling you are given too much information which tends to get lost in memory
