Love it, teaches you about the other 50+ tribes that makes up Vietnam besides the majority who are called the Viets. Nice collection and great place to spend time on.

“Fascinating”

Some interesting information about the minority groups in Vietnam..lovely costumes and full size houses that the children really enjoyed. It always seems to be raining here so take a raincoat and umbrella and get a taxi as its quite far out

Very interesting and excellent displays. The replicas of accommodation that the different groups used was very well done and gave a good insight into the life of the people.

“Worth the trip”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

Go in good weather because it is mostly outdoors. There are indoor exhibits that explain the variety of minority groups in VietNam and their customs. Good for young and teens because it is small and not overwhelming. Several examples of homes indicative of minority villages are interesting and it is nice to exit the motorbike madness in central Hanoi.

Great insight in the vietnamese culture. Rich museum with full explanations in English and French. Beautiful recreations of everyday life and special occasions. Outside the museum offers the possibility of visiting recreation of typical housing from all over Vietnam. Don't miss it!
