This was my 3rd trip to Vietnam and I always make time for this museum. It's informative and educational - all about the ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. The best part is climbing into the houses on the museum grounds. It was a good place to visit before our visit to Sa Pa where several ethnic minority groups live. Please support this great organization.

I was impressed with the craft and artmanship of Vietnam. After visiting this museum, I understand the origin of craftmanship of the country. There were so many ethnic groups and their crafts and arts. We had only 1 hour and we could spend half a day there.

This museum, although out of town slightly (about 110VND in taxi one way) was very interesting. The best bit is outside where there are many wooden and mud houses from the different hill tribes around Vietnam. Great activity to do with kids too as they can climb in and out of the houses.

The shop, run by Craft Link, has superb gifts of a very high standard - certainly worth purchasing here than the tacky tourist shops in the city - and it goes to a good cause supporting various Vietnamese crafts from the hill tribes themselves.

This does cover all the different ethnic groups in Vietnam but it is rather dry after a whil. There are no interactive displays and you really need a guide which we had
