“Museum far and not a lot of content”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

The museum is dedicated to showing the various cultures and ethnic tribes of Vietnam. However, it seemed to not have a lot of content regarding the different groups. The museum was also far from the Central part of the city.

“A worthwhile visit”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

This was a great way to try and gain an understanding of Vietnam and it's people. There is just so much information to take in so prepare yourself to spend a couple of hours here. It's fascinating to see how many different ethnicities make up Vietnam and the subtle and not so subtle differences between the tribes.

“Very interesting - worth the trip out there”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Very extensive collection of exhibits, particularly the outdoor collection with some very unique pieces. There is also a good indoor area with displays and information about the 500 odd minority groups that make up Vietnam - helps bring all the outdoor into perspective. Well worth the trip out there, particularly on one of the local buses.

“Interesting Place”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

Interesting place with well thought out displays. Having an interest in tribes of Southeast Asia I found this museum particularly interesting and informative. If staying in the Old Quarter the museum is too far to walk so would recommend taking a city tour which includes the museum. If you have any interest at all in the culture of Viet Nam this museum is a must see.
