Really interesting information about Vietnam's population, loads of young people and children wandering around, making the most of this great facility

Intended to visit for an hour but it turned into two. Internal exhibitions are nicely laid out and easy to follow / understand. Outdoor examples of different types of house very impressive. Kids will enjoy this part.

Highly recommend.

An amazing number of ethnic groups live in Viet Nam, but you must travel to remote area to see them; or go to the Hanoi museum of Ethnology to understand the diversity of culture in Viet Nam. The Long house is amazing!

It was enlightening to see great information about all the ethnic minorities and provided great insight and appreciation in advance of our visit to Sapa and spending time with these minorities.

The museum is a little out of the touristy heart of Hanoi but it certainly is worth the small taxi fare to get there. It showcases the various ethnic groupings of Vietnam, their ways of living and some artifacts. Easily done in an afternoon.
