In Hanoi, walk trough the city can be an issue to you. But don't worry with the hotel. Meracus 2 is very well situated and the staff is lovely. The rooms are large, clean and they give importance to details. The price is good too. I strongly recommend it.

Spent a night at the Meracus 2 after spending the previous two nights at meracus 1. Both places offer impeccable service. If you have a problem they will fix it. If you want to do something they will organise it. They make life so much easier. The room was lovely - clean and spacious. The whole experience was a complete delight.

We just stayed there 3 times - each for one night - on our way through Vietnam and Cambodia. The hotel is beautiful and the location the best. The staff try so hard it is marvellous - they kept bags for us, took in deliveries while we were travelling and found and kept safe our daughter's earring when she didn't even know where she had lost it. Wonderful place.

Room Tip: Try to get one overlooking the street. They have balconies with a table and two chairs and the fasci...

Loved this hotel, it was the first stop on our Vietnam tour and was a very pleasant surprise. We stayed in the junior suite, which was spacious and well furnished. We had a lovely fruit basket everyday. We also had a lovely balcony/roof garden which was spacious enough for both myself and my partner to exercise on. The hotel is well situated, right in the centre of the old quarter.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. They booked our tours for us and also called up and confirmed the bookings that we had already made.
I think this hotel is great value for money, the breakfast choice is very very good. Our bed was very comfortable, we could hear some street noise but a lot less than where we live in central London. It did say in the bathroom that we have to wait ten minutes between showers for the water to heat up again but the water was so hot that we never had to wait. The room and the service was at a five star standard. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Junior suite is great value and worth it if you like space and you are staying for a few days.

We spent three nights here. The rooms were lovely and the small number of rooms meant we received personalised service from the staff who all learnt our names. The concierges were fantastic. They had excellent suggestions for places to eat and visit. When we wanted to visit Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum by cyclo, the concierge even wrote down a route for the driver so we could take in sights we hadn't seen yet. They also offered a take away breakfast for our early morning flight!

My daughter chose this hotel on the basis of the reviews around the breakfasts. They did not disappoint. Beautifully served and a wide choice.

It was my birthday the following day and on arrival back to the hotel in the early evening, the receptionist made an excuse to delay us going to our room and we were amazed at what we saw.

The bed was covered with balloons, a birthday cake took centre stage, a 'Happy Birthday' banner was displayed above the bed and the towels were fashioned into little elephants. There were candles lit around the room and bathroom, sink filled with petals and also a floral display on the bed in the shape of a heart. The staff had gone to so much trouble when my daughter had said it was her mother's birthday.

The staff are second to none. They love the opportunity to practice their English and were so welcoming every time we set foot in the door.

As we were travelling around, we were able to leave luggage behind and were offered the free use of a room to shower in before catching our next flight.

Superb hotel.

I came to this hotel at 6am after the 10 hours of sapa train. The staff r super nice and kindly upgrade us to junior suite from family room. The guy also advice us on the safety and recommend good places for visit and restaurants. I love their service v much. They even remember names of the customers, write cards and prepare lovely flowers. One of the highlight is the wide range of breakfast, ranging from western, Chinese to Vietnam. All taste good. The room rate is v reasonable I would say. Simply, I love it. I stayed for four days.
