“Best hotel throughout our month in Vietnam”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

The room was exceptionally clean, great shower, comfortable bed, satellite tv and fast wifi. Great location in the old quarter. The staff were friendly, jokey and go out of their way to help. For example, Tien came with us to buy coffee and showed us where to buy other gifts. Nice touches are complimentary tea and coffee alongside the private car transfer to the airport (which is cheaper than a taxi)

This has been the nicest hotel we have stayed in during our one month in Vietnam. Great location in the old quarter; most things you can walk to, clean, nice breakfast, free tea and coffee all day, separate shower cubicle (a real treat in Vietnam) and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. For example, we saw a North Face coat we liked and Tien went out spoke Vietnamese to the owner and and got a 10% discount on the price. They also booked us a great trip to Ha Long.

From the moment we arrived at 5 am off the night train to the late checkout free of charge due to our evening flight, the staff at this hotel made us feel at home going out of their way to be sure we were comfortable. The room was lovely with a comfy bed, satellite television and excellent hot shower! The complimentary breakfast is the best we have had in 7 months of travel with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat along with made to order eggs, pancakes and Vietnamese soup. River, Heart and the rest of the staff were very helpful with suggestions of things to do around town. Although the hotel has a tour desk, they never tried to sell us one....a welcome change in a competitive tourist industry. The location is excellent! Walking distance to many attractions.
If you want to treat yourself to a clean comfortable room without breaking the bank, this is your spot.

On arriving at the hotel, we were treated by the most friendly staff. They were joking, and accommodating, offering refreshments. They gave us a great map of thee city and asked what we wanted to do, while giving us recommendations for practical needs, like supermarkets, good bars, and cheap tasty food. They were able to beat the price on the tours we were offered, as well as book out transport. The rooms were cleaned daily and all out valuables we're safe. The quality of the rooms is high and the breakfast was definitely a highlight. The only complaint I would have was noise levels of construction and traffic, but this is not to do with the hotel. Hanoi is a bushy capital and any where you stay will be noises starting from 8am or 9am until midnight. Or a bit later. I would definitely recommend Tu Linh 2 and stay here again.

We were really impressed with our stay here. The staff are outstanding, welcoming you by name when you return to the hotel. In the mornings they check how you slept and if there are any issues they are dealt with. The rooms are clean, well appointed and have everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble we arrived very early in the morning our room was available so we could move in, we left late in the evening and we were offered showers etc after we checked out. There is more on our blog about Hanoi and the hotel www.leggingit.com.au
