Xinf chao!

My partner and I spent our first nights in Vietnam in Viet Hotel, in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff were extremely hospitable and sat us down for tea as soon as we arrived and drew us a map of all the places to visit in Hanoi. It was the perfect way to start our trip.

The rooms were filled with traditional Vietnamese decor, including a gong and paintings. The rooms were smallish, but not in a bad way; it was a cosy atmosphere and you have all that need including luxuries: wifi, small computer, flat screen television, bath and cheap snacks.

The hotel is located in the Old Quarter and is short walk to Kiem Lake, water puppets, Sunday's night market and many streets and restaurants to explore!

The hotel offers breakfast every morning which is freshly and very tasty!

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and often sing while going about their daily duties.

I highly recommended this hotel and we're glad it was the first place we stayed in Vietnam!
We will surely stay there again when we return to Vietnam!

Hotel was very helpful before we arrived by arranging a taxi to pick us up at the airport. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Booked one tour which was excellent. Hotel also helped with future bookings in Vietnam. Overall a great hotel for the price and where customers come first.

We stayed only one day. The room was enough for two people. Especially location near by old quarter was so good. Also I loved the floor and bed! Wood floor allowed me to move with naked foot in the room, and the bed so comfortable even I really wished to steal it! :)
Only noodle or rice was served from 7:30 am for breakfast. On the next day, We had to leave 7:50 am to go to Halong city. Thankfully the hotel served the breakfast 7:00 am and we could get the breakfast!
The hotel looks very small and doesn't look good. But inside the room, there's nothing uncomfortable.

Good location in the heart of the Old Quarter, ask for a room with balcony, rooms are little bit noisy, but luminous. The rooms are small, but with all you need. Breakfast is quite good, in Hanoi's stile.
Definitely, an optimal choice in the old quarter!

Room Tip: Take a room with the balcony!

We stayed here for one night. The room was ok, quite average eventhough we received an upgrade from the manager. The manager was a bit pushy regarding the tours available. Further service, like Luggage storage during our Sapa trip (booked through the hotel, cheaper options in town). Beds are average, shower facilities are good.

When returning to Hanoi at the end of our trip we decided for another hotel, since this one did not do it to us.
