We visited here one lunchtime and the following evening on a recommendation from our guide. The staff are on hand to your every need without being pushy. The two young ladies we met were studying in the morning and working the rest of the day to pay for their education.
The food was delicious and excellent value for money. Do try the deep fried spring rolls.

With a family of 5 ( four of them vegetarian) we went here for lunch. A truly amazing experience at a place you would not spontaneously see out for a superb culinary experience. Staff were University students who work there to pay for their education and speak english well. All very clean and staff extremeley attentive and helpful.
We had springrolls and several vegetarian dishes. Had a lovely goodbye and when in Hanoi will definitely be back.

We met the owner of this place as he is a local guide and was friends with our guide, so we decided to check it out to support the local community. The restaurant was also very close to our hotel. When we got there, the only other table was occupied by the owner and his friends and family.

Our waitress was extremely sweet and attentive. She was a student at the local university studying English and business. We decided to try the local wine, which was only US$2 and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise, in fact so much so, that we ended up ordering a whole bottle!

For starters, we had the cat fish fresh spring rolls with dill, which came with wasabi soya sauce, and were a signature dish, and were absolutely delicious! I could eat another portion now!

The owner, Mr Manh, recommended the chicken with lemongrass and chilli, and beef with black pepper sauce. We also ordered the tofu with stir fried vegetables and sesame chicken. All of the dishes exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend all of them.

Mr Manh came over with a jug of his home made rice wine (not on the menu) and had a few drinks with us - it was tequila-like and very generous of him. He also introduced us to his family and friends who were all lovely and friendly.

The total price was just over 1,000,000 dong including the wine, which ee thought was great value for money, considering the freshness and quality of food. We would definitely go back there if we were to visit Hanoi again.

We had lunch here today on recommendation from our guide. It was very good.

For appetizer, we had the pamelo salad and the "True Viet" spring roll made with fish, dill with mayo and wasabi dip. It was delicious! Very different from all the spring rolls we have had in our past 10 days in Vietnam. For main course we had the squid with butter and garlic, stir fry black pepper beef, which was very tender, and seasonal vegetables, all with steam rice. The squid was so good we ordered a second plate. For 2 adults, 2 teens and a child, we spend VND930,000 including drinks. We did isn't get dessert as choice was limited.

All in all a very satisfying and delicious meal at very affordable prices! Lastly, the restaurant has beautiful local paintings displayed on their walls, and I believe they are for sale too.
