“Good Hotel - Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights as part of a Wendy Wu tour group. We had a small room but it was adequate for us as a couple. There are some slightly bigger rooms but we were comfortable enough. The hotel is in a reasonably good location - a bit out from the main centre of the city but close enough to walk to a large central market and not too far to walk to the lake and other central attractions.
Yes, as other reviewers have said, the lift is tiny but we did not suffer any real inconvenience the whole time we were there.
What made this hotel great for us was the service from the very friendly and helpful staff. There was always attentive service from the reception area right through to the Restaurant. There was always someone to push open the hotel door for you when you left the hotel and when you came back in, always with a friendly smile.
We had great service from the Customer Service Manager Anny who made us feel extra welcome in the Restaurant with a friendly chat and she was always asking if there was anything that she and her staff could do to make us feel more comfortable.
We did an overnight tour to Halong Bay and on our return around lunchtime, Anny and her chef prepared a magnificent lunch. It was just the two of us in the restaurant and nothing was spared to give us the right royal treatment, so to speak.
We were very happy to have stayed here and we recommend it to all.
Thanks again Anny for everything you did for us.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger than the others and away from the lift.

This hotel is rated as 3 stars on its website and I agree with this rating. The standard room is small and there is hardly any room to place 2 suitcases. The bathroom is also small and of a standard that befits the hotel rating of 3 stars. Noise insulation is poor. There is only one small lift for the 13 floors, so allow more waiting time.

Air conditioning is noisy and is the old central control type with no individual temperature control for each room.

The clientele is mostly tourist groups, so the breakfast room can get very congested, to the extent that latecomers will have to wait for a table. We got there by 6 am to avoid any waiting and to avoid the crowd.

Staff service is good. Location is average as there is not much to do in the area. I will stay elsewhere if I am in Hanoi in future.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in the room next to the restaurant.

Good location and great service. Free wifi provided throughout the hotel. However, my room on the 13th floor received very weak signal and the staff even brought in a router to help me gain stronger signal. Really appreciate the length they will go through to ensure our stay is comfortable.

There is a KFC nearby but we found that the food provided on the Room Service menu is cheaper than a meal at KFC. The buffet spread is reasonable with the local delicacies like 'Pho Ga' is served.

I recommend this hotel to travellers to Hanoi. Will check into it again if I visit Hanoi.

Room Tip: If you cannot stand the smell of fried eggs in your room, DO NOT get the room next to the restaurant...

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a Wendy Wu tour group. The hotel's location is a bit out of the main city centre, but is handy to a large central market. We found a nice Irish hotel a few doors down the street which provided nice food. The drawback with this hotel is the tiny lift. For a hotel which caters for a number of tour groups at a time the lift is totally inadequate, causing lengthy delays in getting to the rooms and restaurant on the top floor.

Not a bad place to stay in Hanoi. Location is not ideal, bit far out from the main centre, but it is close to a large central market which is interesting.

The only problem is that there is only one small lift in the hotel and so there can be a queue to use it. And breakfast is on the top floor (can be rather a crush if evryone arrives at the same time) so it gets very busy in the mornings.

Other than that, the rooms are small but adequate and the staff are friendly and helpful. We'd go there again.

We stayed at this hotel once night on B/B basis. The first room we were given 803 had a musty smell and then got shifted to room 903 which was small but no smell.

The breakfast was nothing much to talk about. For those of us who do not eat pork there was nothing else to eat

There were two computers in the lobby with WIFI which was good. Service on the whole was average.

Further along the same road was a eating place which was reasonable and tasty food.
