Our hotel recommended this cooking class and it was well worth it. Huan took us to the market and explained to us where all of the ingredients come from and what dishes to use them in. The three courses were amazing and we learnt a lot. We were able to participate, watch and learn. We received a free bottle of water, and ate our meals down stairs in the restaurant. It was such a pleasant experience. Now we have VERY full bellies and another great memory to add to the many others.

We had fried frog in the restaurant. It is not like the one we had in china but also deliciously! It is one of the dished we tried in the food on foot tour.

I'm surprised that this restaurant isn't busier than it is - it must be the location, because the food is decent and the service is reasonably attentive. They have a pretty large menu and the food is prepared well and seasoned just right. Portions are typical Vietnamese-sized, so if you're a westerner, you may need to order a side-dish. I've never seen a local eating here, though their food is quite authentic and I'd go back again. Prices are quite reasonable, too, and staff speaks good English.

We are very guilty of being TA slaves in terms of how we select hotels and restos. Tonight we were caught out by a sudden downpour and dove for cover in this resto. The guys were welcoming and friendly. Menus seemed pretty full of standard stuff. Their english skills were enough to get by, not sure why poor english would be a problem for travellers. After all,we are in Vietnam arent we? (The menu was also written in French and English anyway.). DH had chicken with lemongrass & chilli, I had same with five tastes. Very nice food. It delivered what it should have done. Cooked well, and flavoursome. Wine was good and overall price was fine. We'll be a little less TA reliant in future on the back of this experience. Worth checking out.

Such a great morning! It was just us two in the morning luckily cuz he has big classes but wang the chef was such a great person and very helpful. It was amazing just watching him prepare all the food. The stir fried chicken with chilli and lemongrass was our favorite but really enjoyed the spring rolls to. $30 Australian for the whole morning of cooking and eating it at the end was such a huge meal we could not get through. I recommend doing this if you want to try a cooking class. Boom!
