“Best Pho I've Ever Had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

Do yourself a favor and take Chef Tien's cooking class.

The entire experience is great, from sampling local cuisine, hitting the market for your ingredients, and of course learning to cook traditional Vietnamese food. Chef Tien and his staff are all great people - it was very nice getting to know them all a little bit.

The food that you wind up making is top notch as well. All my life, I was used to eating LA-style Pho. Needless to say, once I had one sip of Chef Tien's broth - my view on good pho changed. This is by far the best pho I've ever had.

Lots of places advertise cooking classes in Hanoi, but they seem kind of like tourist traps. With Chef Tien, you learn how to cook - but you also get to hang out with great people and experience a little bit of Hanoi culture.

Do it!

“Fab”

The service was really great - the waitress seemed like she was learning English but was backed up by other staff members when needed. The cocktails are great value (and strong!), and the food was delicious! We had the fish Hanoi style, morning glory and the Eggplant clay pot between three people. It was great! They cook the fish at your table! Really cute decor and cosy atmosphere, highly recommended.

“delicious..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

we had dinner at this place. Its situated in one of the busy streets along the Old Quarter. Very warmly welcomed by their friendly staff. food was really good. each dish had its own uumph! very reasonable price.. in an average of 15usd p/pax for a 7 course dinner. they did help us keep an eye on our little boy too while we dine.... aww.. so nice of them to do that. Their spring roles would be one of the best of the many that we tried during our stay in Hanoi.. thumbs up orchid!
