it is nice to walk around the Old Quarter all the way up to Hoan Kiem lake seeing all the little streets and local shops / souvenir shops.

“That is the way of Hanoian live”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Love travelling around the Old Quarter. Sometimes I got lost but it's fun to explore the matrix road here on foot. Watch out the traffic light here, it's likely useless because people keep going even the red light is on.

“A lively and Crowded place to get lost..”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

The street food is awesome...There are many street food stalls which you should try. A strong Vietnam atmosphere also brings some ecstasy. A noisy but lively place...

“A different world from western style living”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

the true taste of Vietnamese lifestyle, food, and cooking on the side walk. The noise takes awhile to get used to from literally hundreds of moterbikes. the art of crossing the road takes a little while to get used to. Just keep walking , DONT stop like i did.!

“A must to see”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

I rate this place very high, it is letting you see some of the Old Charm of Vietnam.
Easy to get lost here, always take your hotel card with you, or a ask how to get to the water puppets down by the lake, ask young ones they speak and understand english more, plenty to eat, plenty to buy, you must view the fresh flower shops, cheap but outstanding. easy spend all day in Old Quarter and take bottle water,
