this is a temple that the entrance fees is not high. However, not much special as I went to many temple in China. The only thing that is special is the Vietnam student took thier graduate photos there. Quite interesting to see them taking album there ^^

Well preserved building. Plenty to learn about the Temple without a guide. Easy to walk around and enjoy.

interesting grounds were the high light for us. also liked the mini-lake park across the street. and easy walk north to the very worthwhile art museum, interesting alleyway life just to the east.

Loved this place because we took our time and sat and relaxed in the beautiful surrounds. Highly recommend.
Didn't like the ladies playing the traditional instruments inside - sat down and listened to half a song with all intentions of making a donation (there is a well labeled box at the front) but one lady felt she had to come and ask us for $1 each to watch!!! You don't HAVE to pay - they're performing in a souvenir shop so you can listen all day for free if u pretend your shopping, therefore asking for $1 each is quite a lot. Maybe if I'd had a chance to listen to a few songs I may have felt it was worth a donation of that amount but I wasn't paying that much up front by force - its the cost of the entire entry fee! Keep in mind these ladies perform inside the temple but are not an essential part of it, you should still visit the temple - we got up and left rather than paying...

Beautiful gardens and historical buildings. Not easy to understand the significance of all you can see here without a tour guide but it didn't matter terribly as we had a guide book to help. I'd recommend doing a little background reading before going.

Either way a great attraction in Hanoiand well worth a visit.
