Owner description: Entering this majestic church is like walking into 1886, as little has changed since it first opened its doors.

This is worth a visit to enjoy the beauty of the architecture both inside and outside. Entry during daytime is from the back of the Altar area. Badly needs maintenance. Truly an Icon in modern Ha Noi

This was a beautiful cathedral to visit and we even got to hear some chanting which was lovely and added to the atmospheric nature of the place. Definitely worth popping in for a few minutes to feel some peaceful beauty in this crazy city.

Gated in the front, simply walk around to the left rear of the church for weekday entry. Inside there are sculptures and some bronzes as well as true Vietnamese Catholicism at it's best. I flipped to hear the rosary being reverently chanted before a weekday mass. It was surreal and devotional at the same time. The church itself is beautiful and the people gathering on Saturdays (6 PM) and Sundays are a warm and joyful lot. There is a choir and the altar has a ongoing flower show of reverent gifts as is the Buddhist tradition. There is even a NEON Mary statue! You are then also near Hoan Kiem Lake and 100 great affordable restaurants just North of the square.

I loved this churches architecture.it looks great in photos. I went inside on a Sunday at 3pm.you can not take photos and must dress appropriately with long pants/dress and covered shoulders but the atmosphere and stained glass windows inside are beautiful.

Beautiful building worth a visit. Go down the side of it to find a door that's open and go in. The stained glass windows are fantastic.
