Take care to check opening times for Mausoleum, etc as we arrived after closing, but enjoyed a visit to his two residences. An escape from the hubbub of Hanoi.

Well kept residence of Ho Chi Min, with working and living areas and even some beautiful old cars. Nice garden with pond to stroll around in.

The Ho Chi Minh Residence is on the same grounds as the Mausoleum, so the two should really be considered a single visit. It is interesting to look at the home and artifacts of a man who had such an impact on his tie and his country. No matter how you feel about Ho Chi Minh, he was pivotal to his time, and impacted greatly on the history of the world from World War II until his death. The simplicity of his life impresses.

the residence is very interesting; to consider the profound impact of a man and his commitment to his beliefs for the betterment of his country; and to see the commitment he had in his own lifestyle and its simplicity.
