“When in Hanoi...”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

This is one of those things that you just have to see - the building itself is not that amazing but it is interesting to see how highly he is still regarded by the locals. Also quite eerie to see the Soviet hammer and sickle flags flying en mass in the square

“Interesting and a must see”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

IIt was good for the most part and the vietnamese respect their beloved leader greatly since they have built this museum in his honour much against his wishes. The grounds are nicely kept..unlike the rest of Hanoi. Cost is minimal and only for foreigners.

“Not happy”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Went on a day tour and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was 2nd to see, arrived only to be told we couldn't go in as was closing in an hour or so and too many people lined up. Tour guide tried for us but they still refused. We did manage to enter the grounds to take photos from outside but they weren't going to let us do that either at first. We were all glad to get out of there, not very friendly people.

“Well presented”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

You get to see what you expect but in a very respectful way. HCM is lying in his coffin, very well preserved, and well displayed. Guards are motionless. Everyone is filed through with plenty of time to take it in but the line is kept moving. No cameras allowed but there are secure places to leave them. A really slick operation that keeps a large number of people passing through without ever feeling that you were waiting anywhere too long.
