I spent seven nights recently with my wife because I attended a conference held in the hotel. Conference facilities were very good from what I could tell. I paid about $135 a night on a a corporate rate and we got a free upgrade to a large suite with living room, bedroom and two bathrooms. The hotel is the typical high-end chain with good comfort but not much character. The suite was clean but also in need of some facelift in the carpet, furniture and bathroom. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly, professional and friendly. The hotel serves a very decent buffet breakfast with a large selection of western and Asian food, which was included in our rate. Otherwise we only had one meal in the hotel outside the conference, and it was a bit of a ripoff for Hanoi prices and a mediocre buffet. I think it is an OK hotel for business or if you are in a group tour, but I would not recommend it if you are vacationing on your own. Hanoi offers more interesting hotels.

Recently stayed here and the hotel seems to be on the brink of declining. Rooms need painting and the shower needs repair, shower head did not change settings, tub starting to rust.

No free wifi in the room, but there is in the lobby.

Room was fine otherwise, I heard you could pay extra 40USD per nite and get upgraded to better room with wifi and access to lounge with happy hour. Ask at checkin.

Took a tour to Halong Bay, if time permits this is a must.

Excellent, no complaints.

Clean, big room, excellent service. Recommended! Very cosy and comfortable room. Was there for a conference. Buffet breakfast at the Executive Lounge was great too.

Within walking distance to the famous lake too.

I booked my 3-night stay on Agoda and paid $81++ usd/night. Upon arrival my newly issued keycard did not work in the elevator so I had to return to the check-in desk for a new card. I found the room furnishings to be clean but with shabby, dirty carpeting. And then the incessant drilling began. It went all day (8-5) each day of my stay with no reprieve. I phoned the front desk to let them know and they simply apologized and said it would be done "soon." Disappointing.

Agoda displayed a "free wifi" tag on the hotel listing but no such luck. Get this... $12 usd per day for wifi. And slow wifi at that. Ridiculous.

There was complimentary bottled water refreshed daily and the bedding was clean and comfortable.

The restaurant food was overpriced for Vietnam and for the overall quality of this hotel. I could have booked a "breakfast included" room for only $91++/night usd but opted to do my own thing. $10 would have been a greatly discounted price for breakfast which is typically $22 if you did not book it as included in the room price.

Hotel location was ok with about a 5-minute walk to Sword Lake. I enjoyed Vietnam but might rethink the hotel options.

Was attending a conference and this was the conference site so hotel was full. Firstly, TV wasn't working and AC thermostat wasn't functioning either. Called housekeeping three times before they finally sent someone. The repairman then told us that the entire TV system was down but housekeeping should have just explained that. Instead they said that someone would be there immediately with no one appearing after 30 minutes. I asked the concierge to make a reservation for a restaurant and this was messed up. Recent reviews of the hotel seem to have been quite good so it could be that they just can't cope with full occupancy. Hotel rooms are a reasonable size and this is a decent 4-star business hotel. It is fine as long as your expectations are not too high but I personally would not stay here again.

Did not have to pay the bill as I was invited, hence I can't really comment on the value.. but hotel is really excellent: spacious and comfortable rooms, great diversified food, nice facilities except the lift (tricky), good service... well the pool is area is tiny but who would care about that anyway?
