This hotel is well located and to Hoan Kiem lake and the old quarter, but its rather cold with its high ceilings and marble finishes. We stayed n the Executive level and enjoyed the benefits that come with that lounge. The food and drinks were good and the lounge was not too busy.
We also stayed at the Metropole Hotel nearby and that was a whole different level of luxury and ambiance.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the executive levels

The hotel is very well located, and walking distance from mayor atractions in Hanoi, it is not a luxury hotel, but rooms are clean, spacious and well equiped. It is not a luxury hotel, but enogh for what you need for a couple of days in Hanoi. Breakfast is very nice and it did exceed my expectation.

This hotel is considered a 5 start hotel. I stayed in the executive floors (upper floors) that came with buffet breakfast. The room is spacious and clean. All the staff I interacted with were nice and spoke English. The hotel comes with free wifi but there are many dead/bad spots in the room.

For breakfast, besides the buffet, make sure to take advantage of the available menu.

The hotel has a small gym and swimming pool. It has about 4-5 treadmills. I didn't find any issues getting on the treadmill in the morning ( no wait ).

The hotel is located close to high end shopping boutique/stores like Gucci. There are some good restaurants around the area as well. Hoan Kiem Lake is walking distance from the hotel.

The only thing that the hotel was lacking was a spa of some sort.

Room Tip: If you are staying in the executive floors, don't get any of the rooms below the kitchen/breakfa...

I stayed here for 10 nights in November 2012. I had an exec room which also gave access to the club lounge, drinks and snacks in the evening and an uncrowded breakfast.
Room service was good. JJs Sports bar was very good for sports on the TV and a quiet drink as was the lobby area with live music
For food; Chez Manon was always quiet. Its somewhat off putting when you are the only one eating as the waiting staff tend to watch you

And

Bah Mien service was good with a good range of choice at breakfast and dinner

The gym and Jacuzzi were a great option and the outside pool area was perfect for relaxing away from the hustle.

The hotel is situated close to Hoan Kiem lake and the Old Quarter is an easy stroll away

Room Tip: exec room are best

Stay at this hotel for 5 days. Will need to take taxi or limo from airport to the hotel. Location is right across from the Opera. Since I am a Gold Member, they upgraded my room to executive with access to the lounge. Got free breakfast and Pho at Ba Mien.

The Opera house location, decor, staff friendliness and top notch accomodations all superb. Great gym and out door pool. Could use more weights in the workout facility but all the cardio needed. Service and food top class. Spent three weeks here and was never disappointed.

Room Tip: Pay for concierge level if you can.
