“fabulous, friendly, helpful staff - lousy breakfast!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

the hotel has good location, clean rooms with a pc and internet in every room, and wi-fi.but what prompted us to write this review is that the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. they booked tours for us at reasonable prices and came up trumps every time with the promised extras that you always doubt will actually appear. we returned from a tour, a day after checking out, and they gave us a room so we could shower and change before heading to the airport. ask for anna nguyen on reception for the best service. she is wonderful. but breakfast was the worst we had in vietnam!

Room Tip: there are 3 rooms per floor. at the front the higher up the less street noise. the middle rooms have...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The staff were always very courteous and helpful and the wifi was fast and reliable. The computers that they provide in the bedrooms are fairly good too. The rooms are clean and modern, but most have no windows. Overall a nice place to stay.

Our stay in Hanoi was truly the highlight of our trip. After 20 plus days traveling it was such a relief to stay in this pleasant, modern and comfortable accommodation in a nice location with such amazing staff.
Greeted with a big smile and cup of juice the rooms were very modern and clean and spacious, for two young travelers used to cheaper accommodation we were very pleased.
The free breakfasts were also very nice and filling and there was certainly enough available. The restaurant too was very nice and not overpriced at all.
Location wise the hotel was in a prime location to travel to any Hanoi locations which the staff would organise a taxi for you and make sure the taxi did not overcharge. It was also only a ten minute walk away from the night market, with there being many small quirky restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
As mentioned above, the staff truly made our stay here. They were just so incredibly helpful, young and enthusiastic and spoke great English. We booked all our trips and travels in and around Hanoi and to Halong Bay through them and all were fantastic. Such great recommendations.
It is worth noting we got our accommodation on a deal through Agoda so did not pay full price.
During our stay there was a grinding construction noise that started about 8AM in the morning meaning the one day we wanted to sleep in we could not do so, but not sure if this was a temporary thing or not.

This hotel took care of everything I needed. Very cheap hotel, and for the price you'd expect poor service. Not the case. The staff was overly friendly (genuine though) and was ready to do anything for us. They gave us great information considering booking things to do and the best way to get to tourist sites in the area. Further, after we had gone to Halong Bay and were dropped off there they allowed us to keep our belongings there so we could go out and do some more touring of the city free of charge. So even when we weren't technically guests they still treated us like we were. Absolutely stay here if you are going to Hanoi. The location and price would be a good enough reason, but the staff and quality of the room make this a must go to place.

Room Tip: Go for the standard room, and when we were there in January they offered the deluxe room for only 10...

This place is a real gem! The customer service is outstanding and the reason I didn't get a five is I did not like the breakfast and there is construction going on otherwise the rooms would've been tomb like quiet.
Hoa and Bella were always there to cheerfully and thoroughly answered any questions that we had. We were able to leave our suitcases with the hotel while we went on a motorbike trip in the Northwest. Every time we entered the hotel we were greeted by whomever with a cheery smile and warm hello.
I strongly recommend this hotel in the old quarter.

5 star staff paticularly Bella who looked after our every need. The room we had, however, had a damp smell when we first arrived as if it had been locked up for weeks. The staff provided an oil burner and we left the door and window open to overcome this problem. The other problem we had was finding room to store 2 pieces of luggage in the room....not much spare space in the room as there was quite a lot of furniture. The room was nice and clean and great value for money and the location was good as were the breakfasts

I decided to stay a couple of extra nights on a business trip and found this hotel blind on the internet. Didn't have time to check it out but the price was right so I took a chance and went for the "penthouse" room. THe hotel turned out to be good value for the money, deep into the Old Quarter of town. My room was spacious with flower petals artfully strewn across the king sized bed. Water pressure wasn't the best and the jacuzzi tub didn't quite fill up but the enthusiasm of the staff made up for slight shortcomings. The breakfast was adequate and the young staff were quite accommodating. There are many small hotels in the old quarter and while I assume they vary in quality, I would recommend this mid range but remarkably inexpensive option. Again, good value for a clean and perfectly adequate room.

Room Tip: Splurge for the top floor penthouse if you want space and perhaps a bit quieter experience. I enjoy...
