My partner and I stayed in the Golden silk boutique hotel for 4 nights, very clean, great staff, and location, right next to old quarter. There were a few niggly things with room, I.e. wrong plug for kettle. But overall I would recommend. Also they serve some of the best coffee (Vietnamese) over breakfast.

We stayed at Golden Silk Hotel for 4 nights, it was excellent value for money with fantastic rooms and views over the streets. It also provided a nice balcony which allowed for great traffic watching! The location is just perfect, very central and easy walking distance from main attractions, and is situated in the middle of some great silk shops selling everything from fabric to clothes. The hotel was extremely clean and staff very helpful. It is worth noting that if it is harvest season in the rice paddie fields the burn off of the straw does create a haze of smoke quite thick at times, so it is worth making sure the windows in the stair well is shut on all floors or you do find it comes through the aircon into rooms. Breakfast was included In the room rate and was ok, maybe just not enough of the fresh fruit you would expect to find in Vietnam. Would definitely recommend a stay here, I am sure we will be back!

Golden silk is your medium standard hotel. You get what you pay for. Breakfast buffet is limited on items but enough to satisfy. Rooms are nice enough. Pillows very uncomfortable. The restaurant is terrible, very limited menu so eating there is not an option in my case.
Staff are friendly.
Checking out was an issue as they tried to charge me for phones calls I didn't make. When I questioned the bill they produced a bill which clearly wasn't mine, eventually producing the right bill which I paid.
All in all it's an average hotel.

We stayed at golden silk boutique hotel for 2 nights and found it really really good and value for money. It s a 4 stars standard hotel but we were surprised for the cleanliness of the hotel common areas and rooms. Breakfast was ok, standard but included in the price. Rooms are just a little bit small but with a very stylish decor and all comforts. It s an oasi from the traffic outside. Location is just perfect in the middle of Old Quarter and you can walk anywhere. Staffs are great and always happy to help you. It s definitely worth the stay and for the money you pay it s completely good value. We ll definitely go back next time we ll visit hanoi.

We stayed a total of 4 nights as we used this hotel as a base for travel to Sapa and Ha Long Bay as well as seeing the city. Busy location in the Old Quarter so be sure that is what you are after. We did a slight upgrade and the room was extremely comfortable and fairly quite. Breakfast offering were small but what they did was done very well. Modern and stylish and definitely a good choice as you oasis to escape the busy city.

Spend 2 nights and absolutely love this hotel and location. New and clean, great room, very comfortable bed. Located in Old Town, plenty to walk around for eats and shopping. Staff speaks good English and Singaporean GM Victor is ever helpful, all comes with great smiles

This was a very short stop for us being our second time In Hanoi but it was a very pleasant surprise. We had just come from Sapa and need a rest after our 5am train arrival. This hotel was a great place to relax and sleep after a long day. It definitely is a good choice for Hanoi. It even gives Hanoi's metropole a run for its money especially because of its location. I really liked this hotel and would reccomend it.
