We had a total of 3 nights & 1 morning shower & breakfast (after Sapa overnight train & before Ha Long pick up), the staff at the hotel were fantastic, very welcoming & helpful. The hotel looked after our bags overnight & for several days as we went off on our various tours - nothing was ever too much trouble. Rooms were small but clean & nicely decorated, breakfast was nice with both Vietnamese & western choices. Location was great, right in he heart of the old quarter, would definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel is g reat for everything, location, cleanliness, and nice food and friendly helpful staff.
You can walk easily to any of the nice restauants or stay in the hotel and eat, we had snacks, dinner and breakfast here, and it was nice. The rooms are clean, and have huge King size beds
And the staff we always happy and helpful.

My boyfriend and I booked a studio suite as a bit of a treat for 3 nights at the start of our 2 week trip round Vietnam. Although the room was a lot smaller than I'd expected (suite is probably pushing it), the room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and immaculately clean.

The bathroom was lovely and we didn't experience any problems with flooding as previous reviewers have reported. The only slight issue with the bathroom was the fact that it is essentially a glass box in the room with a blind to roll down for privacy. No problem through the day but you'd struggle to go to the bathroom in the night without waking your companion as the blind is noisy and doesn't block out the light. Didn't really bother us but may be an issue for some.

We enjoyed having the complimentary mini bar and as the suites come with a small balcony it was nice to relax there after a busy day out in Hanoi with a beer, watching the madness below.

Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. A limited cold buffet and an omelette station but it was enough for us.

Location of the hotel is right in the old quarter, 5-10 mins walk to Hoam Kiem lake and there are loads of places to eat within easy walking distance.

Overall a nice, modern hotel in a good location. I wouldn't mind staying there again but there may be better options if you're looking for value for money and a more personal feel.

A good choice for travellers looking for a comfortable city centre hotel within easy walking distance of, well, everything!

We stayed one night, left for an overnight tour then came back again so we had two different rooms, staying three nights in total. Comfortable, compact room, no real windows (the one window overlooked the stairwell). Initially clean, subsequent cleaning was cursory. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was fine, bar staff eager but inexperienced. Not ideal for the shy and retiring sharing a room - the partition between the bedroom, and the shower / bath / toilet is glass; a sure fire way of getting to know your travelling companion.

We stayed here a total of 7 nights and really enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is a short walk of the Old quarter and has plenty going on around it. The hotel itself was good and loved the fact the mini bar was free!
We upgraded to a premium room on our second stint here and there wasn't a huge amount of difference from the standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they organised all our transfers etc...
The buffet breakfast was also a good standard and value for money overall was brilliant.

Room Tip: High floor

This hotel is smack in the middle of everything it seems. It is walking distance to the must see water puppet show, Hoan Khiem Lake, shopping of all sorts and there are some great restaurants and bars close by.
It is an excellent hotel, very clean, quiet and comfortable decorated delightfully in a French Provincial style and the buffet breakfasts are fantastic. It's not a big hotel but itnisnfantastic!

Room Tip: A room at the back of the hotel is very quiet.

We stayed at this hotel 3rd and 4th April in a Luxury Suite. When we queried why we were in a room without a balcony, I was told the sliding door that opened in place of a window was the balcony. This was confirmed by a call back after I stated I wanted to sit out on the balcony. Basically, you open a large sliding window and let the heat into you room negating the A/C. I do not thnk it was worth the extra $30 per night we paid so I urge caution selecting this room type.

That said, the staff were all very nice and the breakfast was very good. The room was clean and large (maybe because of the inside balcony). I am writing this review as I have recieved the request from the hotel through trip advisor, which I do use myself and should contribute.
