We found this a great place to stay - excellent location walking distance to everywhere and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Were very keen to offer tips about scams in Hanoi and such things. Breakfast was great with lots of choice.
Would recommend the executive suite as it is quite a bit larger, quieter and comfortable than the standard room.

Moment 2 is a gem of a find in Hanoi, with a lot going for it.
Firstly the suite, being in the built up Old Quarter there is no view from the window but was very well lit and had good air conditioning. The room was spacious, a huge comfortable clean bed, big wall mounted TV, a safe, an iron, fresh robes, and a living room area with complimentary fruit and a bottle of red wine. The bathroom felt somewhat exposed being right in the middle of the room with pull down blinds that don’t quite meet, but was nicely designed, pristine and offered high end toiletries.

Arriving at Hanoi at midnight is deceptive as even though it’s the capital of Vietnam, the streets of the Old Quarter where practically dead, with no restaurants open. Sadly the hotel didn’t offer 24 hour room service on food which meant after a long day travelling our only options were to devour the fruit, and crack open the cheese crackers and crisps from the mini bar.

The breakfast buffet had a very good selection of western and asian dishes, with waiter service on hot choices. The staff were extremely attentive and very quick. As the room is small with booths they had 4 people working and could mingle with the guests offering tour advice on one table while pouring coffee at the next. Not once in our stay where we looking around for service.

The young team running the hotel were fantastic, speaking excellent english and telling me the do’s and dont’s of Vietnam etiquette (for example - save the hands together bowing greeting for Thailand, here they just say hi and wave, and don’t change your pace in crossing the hazardous moped mobbed streets). They gave us a detailed map of the old town with recommendations of places to eat, but these where mostly expensive restaurants and could do with a few more cheaper suggestions too.

Also this hotel is a 5 min walk from the crazy tourist hub of the Old Quarter, with less hassle from touting locals, less traffic and just a few blocks away from the noise of the tourist driven nightspots so made a great retreat after a day in amongst the action.

I recommended the hotel to a couple in Hoi An further on my trip and I hope they enjoyed this hotel as much as I did.

Room Tip: We booked the Executive Suite, big room lots of space, quiet, had a seperate living room with two fl...

From the first moment I contacted this hotel by email I knew I had found a great place to stay in Hanoi. Their email replies were prompt, helpful and clear. I have read of several taxi scams so decided to spend a few extra dollars and book the airport transfer.
Location - simple to find and conveniently located in the Old Quarter, it's any easy 10-15 minute walk to the major attractions and close to so many good restaurants. We walked everywhere and you will learn quickly how to cross the streets filled with crazy traffic.
Check in was seamless. They greet you with a welcome drink and moist towel while they whisk your luggage up to your room. They will record your passport information and then give you some helpful information about the city.
Rooms - we had the penthouse suite that came with complimentary tea, coffee, a bottle of wine and bottled water. A complimentary in room safe is provided to secure your belongings. An in room laptop is free for use and the free WiFi is strong and reliable. We had an outdoor patio but there isn't really any view to speak of. The king sized bed is firm and comfortable for a good rest, however there is some minor street noise but nothing that kept us awake. If noise is a concern you should ask for room away from the street. The bathrooms were a little small but plenty of hot water is available.
Breakfast is included and served from 6:30 am-10:00am. There is a good selection of breads, pastries, fruit, cereal, and Asian items such as spring rolls and stir fry. There is also a cooked to order menu such as eggs, pancakes, sandwiches and pho noodle. The quality is good and there is enough food to keep you going for the morning.
Although the physical attributes of this hotel are of high standards, what really sets it apart is the exceptional quality of service. I felt that there was no request to great for the staff to do their best to accommodate. For example, I wanted tickets to an event and twice they sent a runner 10 minutes away to get them. They confirmed my transfer to Halong bay and ensured our driver was on time. I did an advanced web check in for my flight and they printed off my boarding passes for me. On our last day my son got quite sick. Check out was at noon but our flight was not until 6pm. Our room was booked so they could not extend our checkout time. However they gave us a different room at no charge so he could rest until our flight time. It's intangibles like these that earn my highest rating.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. Location is walking distance to everything. Jimmy and the staff cannot do enough for you. They are so helpful and polite. The rooms are very modern and spotless. Every day we had fresh fruit delivered and a small treat in the evening, with petals on the bed and fresh roses in the shower. Laptops with wifi in every room, which comes in very handy. The hotel organised our Halong Bay tour for us, which was amazing, transfers to and from etc. The hotel also picked us up from the airport, and transferred us back. Breakfast is included and you can have both buffet and/or al a carte, and everything was delicious! Great value for money. We spent 3 nights in an executive suite, and one night in a double, and although the double was absolutely fine, for the extra $20 you get a lounge room and wine. We will definitely stay here again on our next adventure, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, good service, very kind and always willing to help and advise you regarding your stay and travel in Vietnam. They booked flights for us, traintickets, excursions. That really helped us and saved us time! And we could leave our luggage there whenever we wanted.
The rooms look great, clean, great bathroom and very spacious.

Conclusion: great hotel to stay in Hanoi and we would definitely go back!!

The hotel is on the edge of the busiest old quarter of hanoi. so it is slightly quieter but still walkable distance to many place (though hanoi is not a very pedestrian friendly place with scooters flying pass you)
Friendly staff, very helpful with planning your holiday - from booking cruise to halong bay, booking for pickup from airport to sightseeing tips.
Restaurant at the hotel was good - good range, clean and delicious
The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. comfy bed and pillow.
However, the shower was leaking water so the whole bathroom floor was all wet.
when we tried to switch on the bedside lamp - it felt like we will pull it off the wall if we werent gentle enough.
These are minor issues though.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay in a Executive Suite in mid December 2012. The hotel arranged our transfer from Hanoi Airport, and we were met as promised and delivered to the hotel. The reception at the hotel was excellent - very professional but also polite, friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to spread out in the separate lounge area. Facilities were very clean and functional, and the room was very tastefully decorated. A complimentary bottle of wine to welcome us, 2 flat screen TV's, laptop computer, wired & wireless internet. Breakfast food & service was very good, with buffet + a la carte. We were lucky enough to be there for the first occasion on which the hotel supplied evening meals in its restaurant area - and what a surprise. Fantastic food and great presentation, with excellent service. Menu choices are many & varied, including western & Vietnamese dishes, and the cocktails are pretty good too. Could not fault the restaurant food & drinks or the service. It was always a pleasure to return the hotel each evening after shopping and sight-seeing in Hanoi. The hotel is well situated less than a stone's throw from the centre of Hanoi's shopping and market areas. Tour desk is available & staff are most helpful. Nearly all staff speak very good English, so this certainly helped to make our stay most enjoyable & hassle-free. All staff were extremely friendly & could not do enough for us. Good value for money and we would not hesitate to stay here again when next we are in Hanoi.
