We have stayed in Hanoi 4 times and this is by far the best hotel to date. It is only 2 years old and the decor is modern and tasteful. You arrive to an immaculately clean room, with the sink in the bathroom full of rose petals - a very nice touch.
The staff all have excellent English and the Hotel Manager is extremel;y friendly and very knowledgable. His advice and knowledge of Vietnam history, culture and places to visit is second to none - he has a Degree in Tourism.
You will be pleased you chose to stay at this Hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are good sizes but Junior Suite room is excellent value for money with more space.

We were amazed, not only by the great customer service and warm welcome we received every time we were there, but by the genuine warmth and kindness of every member of staff we met. Whoever does the recruiting knows how to spot a good person and put together a real team.

We were warmly welcomed each time we entered the hotel – in fact staff would literally come running to help you, and promptly offer you a complimentary and delicious, watermelon drink.

We were not even guests, but had merely wandered in off the street to enquire about a Halong Bay cruise that we wanted to take the next day. We had visited a number of tour operators, but being on honeymoon we wanted to push the boat out (excuse the pun;), so decided to try some of the 4* hotels which were more likely to offer the premium-luxury cruises – and here the choices beat our own 4* hotel’s.

We were explained, without pressure, the differences between all the tours, and they have all the official brochures so you can see the pictures of the boats, scenery, route and activities. Being reputable, you can be assured that you will get what you pay for – and if you’re lucky like us, even more.

The lovely young man at reception helped us with all of this, and then, on calling the (Bhaya) tour operator and finding they had gone home, he persuaded them to return to the office at 8pm to confirm the booking for us. He told us to go and enjoy our evening, and return in an hour or so, for the confirmation. In our absence, unbeknown to us, he had also negotiated a free upgrade for us, so on arrival we discovered that we were on the best boat in Halong Bay – the 5* AuCo.

And the service did not stop there. The next morning when we arrived for our tour pick-up, we had made some more last minute plans and asked them about trains going south. They offered to buy the tickets for us, and let us pay for them on our return 3 days later. We were waved off by 3 genuinely smiling, happy members of staff, who can only dream of such a trip – and we hope that one day, they too can enjoy the delights of their country.

On our return, they looked after our bags whilst we spent our last few hours in Hanoi, and booked us a taxi to the station (which by the way we did not get charged any premium for), and on arrival at the station, can you believe it, a member of the hotel staff was there waiting to receive us and help us with our bags to the right platform.

What else can I say? The service was beyond exceptional, and our only regret is not staying with them (and not being able to adopt them all!). We hope our big fat tip (wish it could’ve been more) went some way to express our appreciation – and implore all their other guests, to do the same.

This hotel is cozy, warm and sweet. It is small and intimate so there is the privacy that is needed for every couple. The hotel is elegant, new and very well-maintained. I like how their staff personnel are nice and friendly, which reflects that of the hotel's atmosphere. They speak English well and we didn't have difficulty making requests especially that one time when we needed extra toiletries. They come to your service as soon as you need them and they are very cheerful to do so. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience at this hotel. It was nothing grand or fancy, but it was comfortable and it was worth the price.

Hanoi Meracus Hotel 1 is an amazing place that really made us feel like home! My favorite thing about this hotel was the service, which was impeccable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and their attention to details was amazing. The rooms were also highly comfortable and clean, and also very beautifully decorated. Another big plus for this place was the price! Considering all it has to offer, I would have expected a much higher bill, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see how affordable it really was. It was a great experience all around, and it`s the perfect place if you want a highly comfortable hotel, but you don`t want to spend too much money on it.

We decided to stay here for a late wedding anniversary vacation and we really loved every minute of our stay! From welcoming us with drinks to having small tokens and a delightful surprise for us on our bed, it was such a marvelous experience. I didn't except for the whole trip to be this good, given that the hotel was not really our best choice at first, but boy was it a blessing in disguise. Their breakfast buffet was all light and delicious. We had a smorgasbord of fruits and pastries and I really felt energized with the good vibes that the hotel's atmosphere has. Top that with the smiles on the staff's faces, and it was all worth the thousand-mile trip.
