We spent 4 days here and from the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The hotel is nicely situated in walking distance from most of the attractions and the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast offered is good. For the price and service alone I would give this 5 stars, so if you want to be treated like you are family, I would recommend the hotel with out a doubt.

As other reviewers have pointed out, the staff are fantastic and will fall over themselves to help you out. They arranged airport pickup and after we arrived Tim gave us excellent recommendations of places to sample local food. He helped us arrange our Ha Long Bay trip and rather than pushing us to use the hotel's partner cruise, he helped us find the right deal for us. When booking the cruise for us he got us a free upgrade to a cabin with a balcony. We didn't book a room for when we got back. Tim anticipated this and was ready with coffee and arranged a room at the same price in Tu Linh 2, with a free taxi to take us there.

Staff overall were patient in listening to us and giving advice. They remember everyone's names, what you've been up to, and take a genuine interest in guests.

Room was clean, modern, and despite only a tiny window, was bright and comfortable. We did hear some traffic noise overnight which bothered my girlfriend, but that's Hanoi.

Location is very good, in the old quarter with lots of great cheap food around. You're just far enough away from the lake to be nearby, yet still feel like you're not surrounded by tourists.

Breakfast is included as is endless tea, coffee and fruit.

Tu Linh Palace Hotel is a gemstone in Hanoi. We stayed there in total 5 days and we could recommend this hotel to everyone. Well located in the old town, Close to all the 'must-see' in Hanoi. We visited everything on foot. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. Fruit and beverages are allways available. We booked several tours at the desk (ask for Tim) and they were all perfect!
If we come to Hanoi again, it will surely be Tu Linh Palace Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel.

We have spent altogetehr 4 days in Tu Linh Palace hotel. Location is great- right in the heart of old quarter. Rooms are clean, with good showers and modern design. Given the price of the room, breafast is excellent and offers standard continental fare and some asian dishes. In case you want somethign special its possible to order it (for free). Complimentary Coffee and fruits are available the whole day.

We left the luggage in the hotel during the weekend trip to Sapa. When we returned just for a few hours before leaving for a cruise, we were offered complimentary breakfast and option to have a shower - priceles after a night on night train.

But the highlight of this hotel is the staff. All of them were very friendly, acommodating and helpful however Tim was outstanding! He gave us some great tips for good food and places to visit , helped us book Ha long Bay tour and made us feel welcome every time we came back.

Definitely great value for money!

nice location, close to the centre of old quarter attraction yet not too busy as in some other street. Nice ever-smiling and helpful staff. Big family room with good sound insulation. Breakfast is excellent for the price paid.

This hotel has been my home 3 times this year. March and twice in November. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are clean and the showers are outstanding. My congratulations to the designer who took extra time to make the room attractive.

Tim and his staff ensured all requests were answered , Travel and shopping tips were dead on !!

Thanks again, Graham B

Room Tip: The hotel has two elevators. I would suggest the rooms in the first tower. One does not have to tra...

My friend I began our three week travels around south east asia in hanoi. Looking at the reviews on trip advisor on hotels, I found the reviews on this place to be particularly outstanding. And when i saw the price I was more than happy to book straight away and thank god i did ! When we arrived at tu linh palace we were greeted by Tim! straight away he showed us around the hotel, we were offered food and drink ( which is free your whole stay ) whilst our room was getting made. Kate and I where quite weary about hanoi as we didnt read much up on vietnam at all before we stayed but Tim was more than happy to give us a map where he marked all the places to see in hanoi, which taxis you can trust and all the best food places ! which was so helpful. The rooms are nice, modern and clean. simple breakfast which offers pho, or you can order your normal fried eggs and bacon. mini bar costs next to nothing ! The hotel is extremely central on a busy main street. When we stayed on a boat in halong bay Tim offered us a refund, because it was so cheap i refused so he offered to pay for a taxi back to the airport! The staff are amazing here and I would definately recomend staying here to anyone.
