Amazing oasis amongst the madness of the streets outside the door! Stayed 4 nights here, then 2 nights at Halong Bay and another 3 nights at Essence. It takes. Few days to adjust to the chaos in the streets. The first night we were wondering what on earth we were doing here and how can we get out of this crazy noisy area! You have to immerse yourself and move with the flow. By the last few days I was riding a bike in the chaos, and loving it. The rooms were pretty quiet and cool and clean. The staff were trying very hard to please and the general environment was relaxed and friendly. The restaurant was very good and very reasonably priced, although you really should eat out every night despite the ease of eating a nice meal in the comfortable and cool hotel restaurant. We sometimes had lunch there to relax and regroup after hectic morning before going out again later in the day. All reviews are similar and all indicate you are pretty safe in staying here.
