“Vietnamese Hospitality personified at Yin & Yang”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

The Yin & Yang Restaurant at 78 Ma May street, in the old quarter, is the place to go, where their manager, Mr Le Truong Lam, is Vietnamese hospitality personified. He and his wonderful young staff love meeting foreign visitors and no request is too small for them. We wanted the local beer labels lifted off the bottles for our scrap book and even that zany request was not too much for them.
A great place to unwind and relax after wandering through the streets of the old quarter, with excellent local meals, at not much more prices than at places where one sits six inches off the street. Fine for the experience but expect awfullly stiff limbs after the meal is done............
Mr Lam can arrange for local tours, give great advice with your local travel plans and hold a great conversation with visitors..................Highly reccomended !

“Nice food, zero ambience”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

The food here is delicious and is worth a visit for that alone. The staff were also attentive and helpful. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it as there is a travel agents at the back of the restaurant. There is constant traffic of people walking past your table and eyeing up your food! Not conducive to an enjoyable meal!

“Great!”

Helpful. professional staff and great food. We ordered a dish the required assembly and our waiter put on gloves to show us how to assemble the tasty dish! Very thoughtful! It was de-lish! Portions are a bit on the small side.

“Really good food, nice restaurant”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Nice restaurant with lovely food. We had the Pho, fresh spring rolls and Bun cha Hanoi. All were fantastic. Their Vietnamese coffe though was pretty rubbish, the worst we had during our stay.

It was slightly more expensive that its neighbouring restaurants (69 cafe & New Day) but the food I would say was better.

We went in winter and it was warm inside without the draughts you get in most of the local restaurants!

“reasonable meal”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Last night in Hanoi, a walk from the hotel. It provided quite a good atmosphere for a birthday meal and the food were satisfactory but not excellent. Certainly would like to go back again.
