“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014

I loved the Hanoi Social Club! My friend and I ate here at least 3 times while were were in Hanoi for a week, for dinner, breakfast and lunch, we liked it that much. The cafe has a great atmosphere, nice music, really good food and is an easy place to spend a few hours.

I loved the menu - a creative menu, loads of vegetarian food, and lots of gluten free options, including gluten free pasta as well as breakfast items, and a super-decadent gluten free chocolate cake - yum!

Close to the old quarter, it was walking distance from where we were staying, although we mostly took taxis here. There are three levels, and we loved sitting upstairs by the window looking out over the street.

The staff are lovely, and super helpful. One small draw back of sitting upstairs is that it can take a while for staff to come upstairs to take your order, but really it's not that hard to pop downstairs if you are waiting a while.

“A little expensive but worth it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

Went here for lunch with coworkers, it has a very pleasant atmosphere and was empty when we arrived. The staff are friendly and speak decent English so there were no communication problems. The prices are a bit higher for Hanoi standards, but still acceptable and the food was great as well.

I haven't been to their brunch, but my friends tell me it's fantastic.

“Great spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

First had coffee, then stopped in for dinner, came back for breakfast. Coffee was great, dinner was also very good, but breakfast was the star for me, here. Kiddos had the porridge and French toast (I LOVED the porridge) I had the baked eggs in avocado (so delicious) & my husband had potato pancakes with chorizo & added an egg. I highly recommend this spot. Cool atmosphere, great service.

“Lovely cool little place.”

Great atmosphere, good food, coffee, beer. Went here a couple of times. It doesn't feel like you're in Vietnam. Is that a bad thing? Aren't you meant to be having Vietnamese experiences? Maybe, but it's hard to care about that when you are relaxing here, enjoying yourself with a coffee.

“Laid back vibe, good brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2014 via mobile

Really cool, chilled out place, cut off from the mad tackiness of the Old Quarter. We went for brunch on a Saturday where they local local musicians providing an acoustic sound track.

The food was of a high standard. I had baked eggs in avocado with a grilled sausage, lovely sourdough toast and fresh tomatoes with a well balanced vinaigrette. They have both Vietnamese and Italian coffee and wide range of freshly prepared juices and smoothies.

Well worth a visit.
