A very good TA tip!

We had lunch there the other day and it was just perfect!

We were missing the "western cuisine" a bit so we got a salad and a falafel dish with some bamboo shoot chips ( make sure you get them! ) as a side dish.

Everything was fresh, excellent sized portions, served in a very vintage-bohemienne-Berlin style enviroment!

Make sure you go there at least once while in Hanoi!

“charming, great food @ a good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2013 via mobile

rustic furniture, wellworn but comfortable and inviting sofas, lots of art and greens (esp on the rooftop terrace) makes it the place youd love to visit again and again..
we tried the recommended social club burger (medium rare), the puttanesca, and the potato fritters w/chorizo.. and a bottle of their (rather pricey but def good & must-try) s.african tortoise hill cabernet..and it all blended well together..
the burger is huge (for 2 rather skinny girls) and the meat perfect..wasnt crazy abt the fries as they had an aftertaste i was not crazy about.
the puttanesca perfect w/just the right hint of spice to kickstart the tastebuds..
the potato fritters were very filling and worked well w/the baby tomatoes and chorizo..although i feel like they could have given more chorizo in the dish..
it was my last meal in hanoi and was a perfect way to cap of the vacation..

“Loved it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2013 via mobile

Bit more expensive than other veggie food haunts in hanoi but great healthy food and friendly service. We were nicely surprised with their internal Xmas market when we showed up but the mulled wine got us going and there were no delays with our food and coffee considering the heavy footfall! You won't regret it :)

“ Excellent food coffee and atmosphere”

For anyone looking to take a break from trekking the wonderful city of Hanoi, try Hanoi Social Club. Delicious brunch and great coffee. Located on a small side street, you'll momentarily forget about the hustle of the city. If the weather's good, try the rooftop tables. Just the spot for a weary traveler looking for a break.

“Great vibe not Goulash”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013 via mobile

Strolled in for a late lunch on a cold rainy day, the Goulash (Hungarian hot soup + bread) sounded just perfect & I was starving. Unfortunately it was terribly bland, tasted like hot water with next to no flavour at all :( I was surprised & very very disappointed. Please don't order it!

My partner's social club burger thankfully was nothing like this: SO yummy, juicy & tasty. Normal side of fries were cold/average (didn't try the bamboo fries) but the burger itself + cool, trendy, relaxing, homely atmosphere was the highlight of the visit.
