“Not only excellent food, but a worthy cause to support”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Every time I visited Hanoi I ate at the Hoa Sua Restaurant. On each occassion the food, the service were excellent, and the atmosphere at the restaurant welcoming.
This time I tried the Song Thu Training Restaurant, which is also part of the Hoa Sua Project.
I had a most enjoyable dinner. Loved the food, and especially enjoyed the interaction with the trainees working there. Their willingness to attend to customers, always with a smile, really wins your heart.
The house where the restaurant is based is well decorated and easy to access via a short taxi ride from the city centre.
Definitely worth it!

“one of the best restaurant in Hanoi”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

The school was renamed as Hoa Sua School for Disadvantaged Youth and started its cooperation with a group of French partners to provide Joint France-Vietnamese certificate for students. In 2005, Hoa Sua got the Reward for Human Right granted by the Republic of France and become the occupational appraisal center within the framework of the project “Human Resource Development for Vietnamese Tourism” by the Vietnam Tourism Administration and the European Commission.

“Resturant Song THu”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

We had two meals (a dinner and breakfast) there with our family of five. The food is great, and the kids working this training school are really nice and friendly. The fact that you are helping out disadvantaged youths is a plus.

The location is a bit lost in Hanoi, but once you are in there, you dine in a fine hotel atmosphere.

Highly recommend for all !

“Delightful place - worth supporting”
Reviewed July 19, 2012 via mobile

This training restaurant is located in a charming French villa and serves French and Vietnamese fare. Food is good and well presented. But you go there to support the young people who are training to work in the restaurant and for that, it's very worthwhile. The staff are still learning, so they can be forgiven for being too enthusiastic or unsure about customers' requests.

We agree with another reviewer's view that the French food is too salty. If this is a concern, you should tell them to go easy with the salt.

Overall, a very good experience.

“fantastic Restaurant with an Extremely Worthy Cause”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

I came to dine in your restaurant a few weeka ago with 2 other of my office colleagues and I must say it was indeed a memorable experience. The food is superb, the staff aare attentive to the customers. I remembered ordering a set dinner. The salad came first, and when I finished the , the staff promptly brought in the main course and after I finished the mai ncourse, they then brought in the dessert. This type of service is truly first class and extremely hard to find in Hanoi. Double thumbs up for Hoa Sua and the talented staff.
What is more fantastic is that this is a training restaurant/school to help the less fortunate youth in Hanoi. What a worthy cause this is - dinning in the restaurant, I can see the commitment shown by the young service staff here. All I can say is God bless all of you.
By the way, all you guys/gals reading this review, please do come to this restaurant and give you kind support to them.
