“Excellent Hot Chocolate and cakes !!”
Reviewed January 16, 2012

Quaint colonial house converted to a 6 room boutique hotel. The rooms are basic with hot showers and portable heater at $30 per room. Simple bed, clean bathroom. But when we were there in early January, the whole SaPa town was out of electricity. And this boutique hotel do not have their own generator ! We were so cold. The huge fireplace in the lobby was also out of firewood. Luckily for them, the place has a friendly ambience and good food. We would recommend this place but maybe better in Spring or Autumn.

“Nice garden, beautiful restaurant and good food”
Reviewed July 3, 2011

N21°2'25.63" E105°47'52.77" The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a bit of the tourist track, take a 30 minute taxi ride from the town center, but worth the visit if you want to know more about the minorities in Vietnam. As reward you can have lunch in the museum garden in one of four Hoa Sua Training Restaurants. A delightful refuge from the busy and noisy city and the occasional downpour.
This one, number 3, is clearly the first restaurant to be mastered by new students. The disadvantaged students were all a bit clumsy, but they tried very hard to get familiar with difficult French kitchen and restaurant. The food didn’t suffer the same faith. Probably, restaurant number 1 or 2 takes care of that and the French pastry is excellent. What else do you want: nice garden, beautiful restaurant and good food. Recommended.
