Owner description: The Long Bien bridge across the Red River connects Hanoi with the main port of Haiphong. Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the bridge sustained significant damage during the Vietnam War. Only half of the bridge retains its original shape, but a rebuilding project supported by the French government is currently in progress to restore the bridge to its original appearance.

This is an old, but very pretty bridge, that offers a good view of Hanoi. Architecture fans would enjoy the construction! Worth spending some time on this bridge if you happen to be nearby.

This is lovely bridge for loving people. Let try to go there in the evening of summer and see alot of younger couple living in love. Standing in foot 5 minutes you can feel it still live with main river. We love this hundreds years bridge - love you Long Bien bridge - lets stand in forever

Liked the pull overs in the middle of the bridge with roasted corn stands and the 1000 photo opps! Just getting there and then coming back over is a fun scotter destination. Then on return see the Hanoi 1000 year Thang Long Mural Tile Art show along the road side, it's the longest in the world!

When it was built it was one of the longest bridges in Asia. It spans the Red River and connects two parts of the city of Hanoi. It is a somewhat interesting place historically important. Some poor families live in boats under the bridge.

Early morning we came up the bridge to take the photo. Lovely scenery and so romantic point to seat. The wind blows slowly and people bustle moving 2 sites of the bridge. The foot of the bridge there is local house look so fun but I guess it's just for doing the farm works. It's also very worth to see for my opinion.
