“Best hotel in Hanoi”
Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

This hotel and staff is by far the best hotel in Hanoi. Upon arrival Joe the manager greted us with his friendly smile and energetic demeanor. We were treated to cold refreshments and fresh local fruits. The rooms are well above average and the service second to none. Joe help us with great restaurants and attractions to see and eat at in the Old Quarter. He also organised our trip to Halong Bay, whichwas a great help and a ffantastic deal. I would and will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi. I give this hotel and staff a AAA+++ rating.

Our arrival at the hotel was late after a flight from vientiane. We used their taxi pick up for $18 and all went well.

We were welcomed with tea and asked about our plans for our stay in Hanoi.

We were upgraded to a huge room. Very comfortable but quite gaudily decorated, lots of gold and diamanté.... Not my taste but a nice room all the same.

The staff are a little heavy on the sales side at times. Always asking to talk to you about sapa tours and halong bay. We actually booked our halong bay tour through them and enjoyed the trip.

The staff are very attentive, we're not used to this so maybe took it the wrong way. Always thinking, what's the ulterior motive?! The staff are trying to make your stay as good as possible and are completely genuine.

I'd recommend staying here. Good location, good price, great service. They even let us have a shower when we'd returned from our tour and were waiting for our train.

Our Halong Bay cruise was cut short because the seasons biggest Typhon was coming in. We were booked in their one night and ended up staying three. The name of the fellow who met us at the Hotel his name was Joe???? Anyway, extremely helpful and sat us down and explained the various activities to see and do in Hoian. Very helpful. the room was brilliant, nice and clean and everything you need. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and helpful and would sit and chat. The power went out in the street due to maintenance work, so no elevator or air con in room. We said we were happy to stay outside and watch the traffic. They brought us out iced water and tea. Just so helpful and arranged everything. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for all up 4 nights - 2 before ha long bay and 2 after. Staff were great and always eager to help, even running down to one of the street stalls to get us some dinner when we arrived quite late, very tired and hungry and it was. Pouring rain. Minor things like ants in the room and an occasionally dodgy wifi connection were our only gripes. Great room with breakfast included for a very low price.

We stayed for two nights in this hotel for the last two days of our trip in Hanoi. The service is superb! Friendly staffs with good sense of humor. The room was quite worth it. Just a minor defect on the desktop with low performance processor but the wifi speed was great enough. This is not the problem if you want to be free from any IT gadget while traveling. The breakfast was not bad which is buffet style combining Western and local cuisine. Highly recommend this hotel as the price was affordable!

After an arduous 4 hour bus ride from halong bay, this was the perfect tonic. The hotel is plush, the breakfast excellent and the staff simply wonderful.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the centre of the old town, quicker once you get your bearings. The rooms are fancier than anything you'll have seen as a budget traveller and still impressive to those flashing more cash on their travels. The staff are rediculously nice - helpful and very friendly: they let us check out at 2pm for no extra fee. A nice touch.

We paid about $25 a night here - when you take into account the wonderful breakfast they throw in (a feast you'd easily pay $3/4 each for at a nearby cafe) then this place is fantastic value.

Can't recommend enough. Thank you thaison palace!

My husband and I stayed at Thaison Palace Hotel following many good reviews on TripAdvisor from other guests and recommendation of two friends who had previously stayed there and we were absolutely delighted with the choice. Feel never regret about this. The room is elegantly and modern furnished. Decoration in harmony in modern and traditional way

Room Tip: Get the room with window. Deluxe one much better than sup or standard room
