Lovely hotel with rooftop pool & bar. Very good breakfast with views over the lake. Easy walking distance to all the Old Quarter sites and ample places to grab a quick bite to eat or dine in. We booked the executive suite for our first 5 night stay before heading to halong bay for an overnight cruise. The hotel stored our bags no charge until our return for another 2 nights. The second executive room although on the same floor was not as nice as our first room. It had a musty smell and the shower taps didn't function correctly. The rooms are well appointed have good soundproofing. Excellent staff from the front door and reception - many thanks to the wonderful Chester & his excellent coffee & the ever thoughtful Hana - they helped make our stay special.

Perfect location for our 2 night stay. Rooms was lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great roof top bar and restaurant. Room very noisy at night but this is the case for all central hotels in Hanoi. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I really struggled with this review. I really wanted to give it a 5 rating but at the end, to be fair with other places I can’t give it more than a 4.
We had 2 stays. 1 before our Halong Bay cruise & 1 after. We had a Suite with balcony on the first stay & a Classic room with windows on the 2nd stay. Note that the windows in the Classic room were very old Glass looked dirty but maybe it was just old) & had no views whatsoever so we kept the curtains shut. So a room without windows would have been just the same.
Both Rooms where a nice size & very well appointed. A laptop & even a scale were available in each of the rooms we had. We did have to ask for shampoo & a washcloth on our arrival, which was odd for what would be considered a 4* hotel. To their credit, they brought us some right away when we mentioned it. Beds & beddings were really comfortable. A/C very efficient in both rooms & lots of hot water for showers & baths (in the suite).
The rooms were clean in general except the sofa & cushions were really dusty in the Suite. There was a very bad bathroom smell each time we entered the suite which seem to come from the drain. But we would not notice it anymore within a minute or so of being in the room. Also we could see repairs had be made to grout & caulking in the bathroom & they looked like they had been made by an 8 year old there were so bad. It didn’t deter from the comfort of the room but very unexpected from a hotel that describes itself as a "brand new Boutique Hotel".
The fitness room is very small. Probably not much more than 4 square meters. Only 1 treadmill & another small machine cramped on each other. No windows. No free weights. Don’t pick this hotel if a fitness room is important to you.
Only 1 elevator goes to the 11th floor where the breakfast room is. So try to avoid the peak times. Breakfast buffet was nice although not much protein options other than eggs & bacon.
It still was a good value overall considering the price, the service & the location but don’t come expecting a luxurious 4 to 5* experience by Western Standards because of the high reviews you see for this hotel.
The Hallmark of this hotel is the staff. Very nice & friendly staff that can’t do enough to please you. Almost to a fault. I would give the staff a 6 rating if I could. Especially the breakfast crew managed by Chester. Every single member would greet us when we arrived & left each morning for breakfast. That is not something we experience very often in our travels. The staff at reception were also very welcoming & friendly. More than we have experienced in other comparable hotels in our travels.

On an additional note, if you order a taxi, don't get in the taxi without verifying with the driver directly who he is supposed to pick up. We prepaid for a taxi for the airport. One of the staff came to tell us our taxi had arrived & the bellboys proceeded in putting our luggage in the taxi. Once we were about 15 minutes away from the Hotel, the driver got a call from the hotel that he had the wrong passengers & that our taxi was waiting for us at the Hotel. They wanted him to bring us back. To our surprise, the disgruntled driver pulled over on the freeway & explained to us, with the help of Google translate that he either brings us back to the Hotel or we have to pay him on arrival at the airport. My husband thought this was ridiculous & called the Hotel back. It was their mistake so he insisted on them arranging for the driver to continue to the airport & that they would pay him. To their credit, they finally accepted & made arrangements with the driver. After this, one of the manager called us back & was profusely apologetic.

I could tell the staff were working very hard to get a "5" rating on TA. I wish I could have done it but at the end I felt I needed to give an honest review. So there you are.

Stayed here for one night and they upgraded us to the executive suite which was awesome. Very central to Hanoi and we had a nice swim in the pool on the top floor. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Hanoi
