This hotel is well worth staying at with lots of little extras that make the stay worthwhile. Check in as smooth, welcoming and very efficient. We were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade to the 8th floor. The room was large with a huge king size bed – extremely comfortable and soft with pillows that made you want to stay in bed all day. There was a coffee table with small couch and lounge chair, a desk with writing materials – ideal for computer.
A room safe and free wifi was provided- bathroom was luxurious with lots of little extras to make the stay pleasant. There is a flat screen TV with a good variety of English speaking programs. An ironing board and iron are provided (just in case the housepersons get out of practice!!!!)
Breakfast was either al la carte or menu and huge choice in lovely setting. Hotel is well located in downtown Hanoi and close to all amenities. The evening and lunch menus in the restaurant are good and varied at quite reasonable prices (for hotels) although obviously not by Vietnamese standards.
Service by all staff was wonderful even to the stage of sending an IT man to help me log on to Wifi (I think the problem was me not the wifi system) I often think it is the little things that distinguishes a good hotel and this establishment certainly pays attention to detail even down to delivering a small Australian paper with news each morning. I assume they do the same for people from other countries.
The concierge has a map and Hanoi City Guide handbook available for free which we found very handy for getting around
