This boutique hotel near the Hanoi Opera is the perfect combination of cool design and luxury. Its location is central while being slightly aloof from the city chaos in Hanoi. The lake is very close, making it ideal for a morning walk/run. The rooms are large and the bathrooms particularly spacious, stylish but also functional. The beds are the coup de grace, resembling a theatrical piece from the "Princess and the Pea" and absolutely delicious to sleep in. Although they had interconnecting rooms making our stay here practical for our family, I recommend this hotel as more suitable for couples due to its cool elegance. (Nb - the staff were very patient with the kids unlike many cool hotels). Excellent English is spoken by the staff and, while we didn't need or request much by way of assistance, all our interactions with the staff were professional and pleasant. Our rate included breakfast but the quality of the breakfast buffet did not match the quality of the hotel. It was perfectly adequate but standard fare. Having said that, the staff were more than happy to prepare dishes on request for no extra.More
