We stumbled on this hotel and what a fantastic find! NOTHING is too much trouble. We twice changed the duration of our stay ( due to typhoon) left luggage with them whilst we went to Halong Bay. I echo all the preceding positive comments. The staff here are all a tremendous asset to this hotel but a special mention for Thomas who gave great advice and was always keen to ensure we made the most of our days in Hanoi - which we did!!

We stayed in this hotel for about 3 nights. Great location in the old quarter in Hanoi, near food stalls and lively streets. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english quite well. Fresh fruits and water in the room every day and welcome drinks upon arrival. Breakfast included was very good, choice between western or asian. Reception even called to our room at 9.45 if we wanted breakfast in the room as we didn't show up before 9.30am. Helped us out very well to get around town, gave us some good tips on restaurants and Food stalls. Definitely try the bun cha at the stall next door! Rooms were fine and clean, bathroom was a bit outdated but clean. Even got a free upgrade to balcony room during our second visit. Hotel manager arranged a good tour to Halong Bay and reception arranged airport taxi. Also possible to take a shower after checkout before our flight to Danang.

The Vega hotel is a nice oasis in the middle of the bustling Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff are genuinely concerned about you and want to help you get the most out of your trip to their city and country. I had booked a night at a nearby hotel and walked into this hotel to comparison shop a couple of tours that I wanted to take. I very quickly realized that the level of care at this hotel was far superior and also the tours were much more reasonable. Essentially, I was being ripped off at the other hotel, even though they had the same star rating.

The very next morning I moved to the Nova Hotel and never looked back! They are affiliated with Vega Travel and I booked a tour to Hua Lu-Tam Coc and a tour to Halong Bay. Unfortunately, the tour to Halong Bay was canceled due to bad weather but the Vega staff helped me book a private car (Ford SUV) and driver for the day and we toured the Hang Mua pagoda and Van Long Nature Reserve. By the way, the private car was half the rate quoted to me by that other hotel.

This is a small hotel but the staff are excellent, well spoken and welcoming. The hotel rooms are spacious and well laid out, the public spaces are a little small but that's because they used the space to make larger rooms. The breakfast is good and in line with price of the hotel. The staff gave me excellent recommendations for restaurants serving Hanoi specialties, all in the Old Quarter and easy walking distance.

The Old Quarter is the best way to experience Hanoi and the Nova hotel is in a great location to take it all in. I highly recommend both Nova hotel and Vega travel!

We stayed at Nova Hotel in the old quarters. Great location and very quiet. Our room was super clean & comfortable & accommodated my family of 4. A fantastic breakfast was included in the nightly rate. The staff were soo friendly and helpful..We came and went on 2 occasions from the hotel and we were welcomed like old friends each time we stayed. Nova is affiliated with Vega travel and they offer fantastic tours in and around Hanoi. Don't hesitate to book your stay and travel with both these companies...we highly recommend both...

Room Tip: Floor 7 has a lovely room with a balcony & is great for a family of 4

This is our second hotel that we stayed at in the Quarter. We met Viet(the owner while looking for tours to Mai Chau. He booked a great tour for us through Vega Tour company and it was wonderful. Our guide Tim spoke English well, and really was very informative and fun.
I would recommend the Vega hotel to anyone, especially if this is a first time for you in Hanoi. Viet met us at the door and all his staff went out of their way with service and friendly smiles and suggestions...really heartwarming. The room itself was clean, non smoking, nice hot rain showers, fast internet, air con. We had a complimentary fruit platter waiting for us. It was very welcomed as we came in from a long couple of days on Catba and Halong. Our room also had a great little balcony, looking over the street. The free breakfast was a la carte, and very good. The price was incredibly reasonable!!

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor.
